00:00House Speaker Martin Rimauldis asserted that the continued slowdown of inflation rate in
00:05the country is proof the administration's programs are effective in controlling the
00:09prices of essential goods and protecting the pesos purchasing power.
00:14This is based on the report of Philippine Statistics Authority wherein the inflation
00:19rate eases to 2.1% in February which is lower than the 2.9% reported in January.
00:27Rimauldis added that this is a good news for every Filipino family for now the government
00:32remain to prioritize lowering the prices of basic necessities which was supported by the
00:38House of Representatives.
00:40Meanwhile according to the Economist, Lawmaker, House Ways and Means Committee Chair Joey
00:45Salceda the continuous decrease of the price in rice in the country is also commendable.
