00:00A man in Antipolo was in a critical condition while crossing the road, he was hit by a car and was hit by a 16-wheel truck.

00:20In the CCTV footage in Barangay San Jose, Antipolo City, at 5 am yesterday, the man in a white T-shirt was seen crossing the road.

00:34Just a few moments before he reached the middle of the road, a multi-purpose vehicle or MPV that can run fast hit the man.

00:43He fell on the other lane and was hit by a truck. The victim was dead on the spot.

00:50In an investigation by the Antipolo Police, the victim was crossing the road on the other side of the road to speed up the process of the accident.

00:58According to a witness, he crossed the road on the other side, but there was no one in the vehicle.

01:04He was able to run fast. He was hit and when he was hit, the truck hit him. We just saw that the truck was blown away.

01:14The truck driver, Kusaraw, surrendered to the authorities.

01:18The truck driver admitted that he was hit by a car. So obviously, we detained him.

01:49The victim, Renato Lawang, a 35-year-old construction worker, was identified.

02:00Renato lost her one-year-old daughter and her pregnant wife this March.

02:30Renato is the fourth of her 12 siblings.

02:34She was the first one to leave us.

02:38She shouldn't have left because she's still young and she has children who are waiting for her.

02:45Last night, she was with us. Now, she's in jail.

02:51The Antipolo Police is continuing the investigation to find the MPV driver.

02:56He will be charged with reckless imprudence resulting in homicide.
