02:20Ladies and gentlemen, fellow Filipinos, good afternoon.
02:29Thank you for believing in me.
02:34Thank you for choosing me as one of your representatives in the upper chamber this past election.
02:43It is the highest honor to serve you as a Senator of the Republic of the Philippines.
02:53Today I stand before you not only as an elected public servant,
02:58but as a fellow Filipino who shares your hopes, your struggles, and dreams for a better future.
03:05In this trying times of economic hardships, social divisions, and heightened political differences,
03:19there is but one powerful force that can carry us forward, and that is national unity.
03:29Unity is not just a concept we talk about during elections.
03:36It is the foundation of a strong and resilient nation.
03:40It is what binds the rich and the poor, the young and the old,
03:46the people from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
03:51It is what enables progress, justice, and peace.
03:56Our diversity in culture, in beliefs, in language, is not a weakness.
04:07It is our strength.
04:09But unity does not mean uniformity.
04:13It means finding common ground, listening to each other with respect,
04:19in working together, despite our differences,
04:25with one common goal, to move forward together as one nation.
04:33If we fail to unite now,
04:36we may not be able to achieve what our leaders from the past to the present have been working on,
04:45to uplift the life of every Filipino citizen.
04:51As your newly elected senator, I commit to being a bridge, not a barrier.
04:58I will work with leaders from all parties,
05:02listen to voices to all sectors, or from all sectors,
05:07and prioritize laws and programs that will unite rather than further divide this nation.
05:17Thus, I ask my fellow senators,
05:21let us set aside our political differences
05:25for the sake of our nation and our people,
05:29and let us work together to resolve the problems before us.
05:34We are not enemies.
05:39We are Filipinos, no matter our political colors or beliefs.
05:44Let us move forward together.
05:47Let us rise above politics,
05:50about personal and political interests,
05:53and above hatred.
05:55Let us build a country where every Filipino feels seen,
06:01heard, and valued.
06:03united.
06:06There is nothing we cannot do.
06:11Mabuhay ang Pilipinas,
06:13mabuhay tayong lahat.
