00:00A number of prominent House leaders were officially declared to have won their respective races to include party list first nominees slash attorneys Laila De Lima and Chell Diocno, who both signified their participation in the Vice President's impending impeachment trial. Our Mela Lesmoras tells us more.

00:19House Speaker Martin Romualdez has been formally proclaimed as the representative of the 1st District of Leyte. This marks his third consecutive term and sixth overall.

00:32In Ilocos Norte, Presidential Son and Ilocos Norte 1st District Representative Sandro Marcos has also been proclaimed for a second term. In his statement, Congressman Marcos thanked everyone who supported him and also urged the public to move forward united with renewed hope and determination.

00:49As for the Partili's race, currently, Acbayan Partili's is leading in the vote count. They also expressed deep gratitude to more than 2 million Filipinos who voted for them.

00:59As of now, following the election, one of the most anticipated developments in Congress is the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte. ML Partili's First Nominee Attorney Laila De Lima and Acbayan First Nominee Attorney Chell Diocno both confirmed joining the House Prosecution Panel.

01:16Speaker Romualdez said they are not just veteran lawyers but also public servants with a lifelong record of upholding the rule of law and protecting democratic institutions, so their involvement would be a valuable contribution to ensuring that the proceedings are fair, principled, and rooted in the public interest.

01:34According to House Committee on Good Government Chair Joel Chua, re-elected Congressman of Manila and one of the impeachment prosecutors from the House, he believes their case remains strong.

01:45I think under the leadership of Speaker Martin, siguro same pa rin, siguro with the additional lamang ng mga mawawala.

01:54Yung evidensya nandoon, so sa tingin ko, when it comes to evidence, nandoon naman, intact pa rin yan.

02:02But at the end of the day, syempre, yung mga senator judges, so sila naman ang mag-a-appreciate ng mga evidensya na ilalatag namin.
