03:00This is our last show on Scrabble here on NBC.
03:03And I was just thinking as I walked in, there's one thing I'll never have to do again.
03:06If you'll look behind me here, do you see this large Scrabble sign?
03:10Can you see this?
03:11That is held by very thin wires.
03:14And every time they say, here's Chuck Wollary, I walk out and it comes down.
03:18And I thought for sure I was going to lose my neck for six years.
03:22But no, it hasn't happened.
03:24Anyway, we'll talk more about the last show and everything.
03:26Let's get on with it right now.
03:27Chuck Gans from Lincoln, Nebraska sent in our word.
03:30And we have a T-shirt for him today.
03:31The jackpot and our bonus sprint stands at $6,000.

03:38Charlie has our first two players and here they are.
03:41She's our champion.
03:43He's a production coordinator.

03:53Nice to have you both here.
03:54How are you, Debbie?
03:55Great.
03:56Tell me about yourself.
03:57Well, I'm the mother of an almost two-year-old.
04:00He was born on Friday the 13th.
04:01So that was a lucky day for me.
04:03And also my mother's birthday.
04:04So I'd like to really, Chuck, I need to say hi to my mom in Constance because they're taking care of them while I'm down here.

04:13Nice to have you back, Deb.
04:15Hi, George.
04:15Hi, Chuck.
04:16How are you?
04:16Fine.
04:17Tell me about yourself.
04:17Well, I'm a production coordinator for a publishing company here in L.A.
04:22I've been here about a year.
04:23I live with my little miniature schnauzer, Nick, who just got out of the hospital.
04:28So I'm winning money for him.
04:30Great.
04:31Would you like to say hi to Nick?
04:33Hi, Nick.
04:35Thanks.
04:38Nick.

04:45Have a chance.
04:45That bonus worth $6,000 a day.
04:47Take a look at the board as we set up for the first game.
04:49We're building on the letter A, nine letters in the word.
04:51And the clue is Tammy Baker has a pair of big ones.
04:56I have something that tells me that this may be a rare show in the annals of Scrabble.
05:00I don't know.
05:01We started off with that.
05:01I'm going to take two tiles, but I think I actually know it.
05:04Do you?

06:46You're always thinking about them.
06:47Oh, is that what it is?
06:48Is that right?
06:51I think.

07:00There you go.
07:01Woo!
07:04I kept telling them, look, find somebody else to do it.

08:20That's right.
08:27I have no idea why it was topsoil,

08:32I like that, George.
08:32It's real great.
08:34Topsoil, is that any special meaning?

20:38I know you do.
20:39All those eyeshadows you bought that look so great.
20:41Until you try to wear them.
20:44Goodbye, shoebox.
20:45I found Clarion.
20:47Clarion makeup.
20:48I tried their computer, and it told me which shadows would look good on me.
20:52Clarion gives you only the colors that are right.
20:54So the look is great.
20:56I mean, which would you rather have?
20:57Lots of terrific shadows that look pretty in a shoebox,
21:01or lots of terrific shadows that look pretty terrific on you.
21:04What a mess.
21:07The orange cummerbund from my son's uniform fell in the road,
21:11and it lay there overnight.
21:16The next day, the tire marks were ground in.
21:19I took a chance that Tide could get it out.
21:22I pre-soaked and washed.
21:24The tire marks all came out.
21:26Tide saved the cummerbund and the day.
21:29Thanks, Pat DeHelster.
21:31If it's got to be clean, it's got to be Tide.
21:35This is a pretty good breath mint.
21:36I think a Tic Tac's better.
21:38It freshens your breath just as well as that great big sirs,
21:40and it's only one and a half calories.
21:42Incredible.
21:45Why so glum?
21:47I think you have the better breath mint.
21:50An unfair taste test between delicious Swift Premium Brown and Serve Sausage and ordinary sausage.

24:22Well, John, $2,500.
24:25Not too bad.
24:26Yeah.
24:27I'm still, I still won't figure out how you got hostesses off the clear of that.
24:29From invitations.
24:30I know, but my gosh, incredible.
24:32Because number one is a long word, and you just, I figured you'd throw something up there
24:36to make sure, but you didn't even bother.
24:38George Seeley is now up to $3,500.
24:40He's going to go for $6,000 when we come back.
24:43And we'll talk a little bit.
24:44We'll be back right after this.
24:45See you.
24:51I've been married for three years.
24:52I have a great husband, a nice home, and I'm sterile.
24:59Because I had a sexually transmitted disease for years and didn't know it.
25:03If only I had had this booklet on genital self-examination, I might have discovered it.
25:07I might have gone to a doctor in time, and today, I might have a baby.
25:13For your free self-examination guide, call 1-800-234-1124.
25:17Send for it.
25:18Do it.
25:19Please.
25:20Oh, hi, Ann.
25:23Listen, I've only got a minute, but I can talk.
25:25I'm just cleaning.
25:26New Pine Salt Spruce Ups.
25:27The pre-moistened cleaner in a cloth.
25:29They clean, wipe, and dry in one stroke.
25:31Free up your day.
25:32Spruce up with Spruce Ups in lemon or fresh scent.
25:36Fiber laxatives.
25:37A woman who takes one when she's constipated may have to wait.
25:40And wait for three days to get relief.
25:43And it can cause bloating.
25:44Why do that to yourself?
25:46Take Correct All.
25:47It gives a woman gentle, overnight relief.
25:49Correct All.
25:50All right, we're back.
25:54Thank you, Charlie.
25:55For the last time, I'll say thank you, Charlie.
25:57This is the parting shot from this show.
25:59And of course, I don't want to be, well, perhaps sentimental, but I don't want to be modeling.
26:03The only thing I'd like to share with you is that this show is certainly a milestone in my life.
26:08My son was born while I was doing this show.
26:10I've made a lot of new friends.
26:12We've had a wonderful support from the television audience out there in all the four times we've been on the air in different time slots and everything.
26:18And the show is really good.
26:19We've enjoyed doing it.
26:21And I certainly have no sour grapes about that or anything else.
26:23NBC has been a wonderful place to work.
26:25I've been with them now for 14 years.
26:27And it's always been a great experience.
26:28However, it is sad when a show that is close to you and you like so much comes to an end.
26:33And of course, we're all really sad about it.
26:34The thing that I'll miss probably most, more than anything else, are the relationships that I've made and the people that have worked on it.
26:40And I can't name them all, but I'd like to name a few.
26:43Bob Noah, for instance.
26:44Bob is the one who created this show and went to the trouble to get it on the air.
26:48And Bob Crystal, who also helped with Reg Grundy.
26:50And then there's Gary Johnson, who produces it.
26:53Pam Mearson, who's been fun.
26:55And she's wonderful to work with.
26:57And I'll miss her.
26:58And Jan Heineger is probably, we've made more fun of Jan than he deserves.
27:02He's a great guy and it's been a great relationship.
27:05And, of course, Richard and I can just go on and Debbie and all of them.
27:07I can't name everybody, but you're going to see them at the end of the show.
27:10And I thought that it would be a good time now for me to say thank you to all of our viewing audience for supporting us.
27:15I certainly hope you enjoyed it.
27:17It's been a pleasure working with you and working for you as I have all these years.
27:22And I'll be back somewhere.
27:25I'll be back.
27:26Okay, George.
27:27Let's win some money for you, okay?
27:29I want to.
27:29Two words under ten seconds.
27:31Here we go.
27:32Then we'll go meet everybody.
27:34Okay.
27:35The first word, six letters.
27:37Pancake Makeup.
27:39Now think about that.
27:40Pancake Makeup.
27:43Ready?
27:44Okay.
27:45Go.
27:46R.
27:47T.
27:49B.
27:50Pancake Makeup.
27:51Batter.
27:52That's it.
27:52Five seconds, you're even.
27:56Seven letters.
27:59They're real little pussycats.
28:01They're real little pussycats.
28:07Ready?
28:09Ready.
28:10Go.
28:11And.
28:12Kittens.
28:13The beat.
28:16Five thousand.
28:18It's all the time we have for today.
28:21Uh, I'll meet everybody down front.
28:23You'll see the whole staff.
28:24Thanks again, everybody.
28:24Bye-bye.
28:25Bye-bye.
28:25Bye-bye.
28:26Bye-bye.
28:27Bye-bye.
28:28See you, Matt.
28:29See you, Matt.

30:11A body turned up in her bed.
30:13Sasha, it was dead.
30:14I didn't kill her.
30:15Someone killed her, brought her in through that window, and dumped her in her bed.
30:18Now they have to hide the corpse in the freezer until they find the killer.
30:22I feel like I'm covering up for a crime that I actually committed.
