00:00Ah, Moe's! I should have checked for this guy at Moe's.
00:04Here's your look at the brand new Jack Specific. This is The Simpsons' Lenny.
00:19Collect your favorite cartoon characters from The Simpsons' TV series
00:22with the newest wave of The Simpsons' 5-inch scale figures featuring basic articulation.
00:27These iconic characters from The Simpsons are sure to please cartoon lovers and collectors alike.
00:32Well, it's nice that the Springfield's nuclear power plant technical supervisor has shown up.
00:36Although, I have to admit, though, Lenny has been a hard figure to find.
00:40Sure enough, though, I ended up ordering this one from Amazon,
00:42and even at Amazon's prices, this guy was well over $40.
00:46Other than being a little harder and rarer to find,
00:48let's go ahead and take the tape measure, though, and see how tall Lenny actually stands.
00:52We have a Lenny yet, but we don't seem to have a Carl,
00:54and it just seems weird the way that they've kind of placed around these figures
00:57in the various 2.5-inch scale and in the 5-inch variety that you're looking at here.
01:02Either way, though, Lenny is going to stand at almost 5 inches in height.
01:06That works out, though, to be a figure that's about 12.5 centimeters tall.
01:10As for the other figures that made up this wave,
01:12here's what the figure looks like with Home Run Homer,
01:14even though, really, the packaging only calls him Homer.
01:16Here's also Marge, Midge, if you prefer,
01:19and here's also Milhouse.
01:22A Marge and a Milhouse, and, of course, we've got ourselves Lenny.
01:24A nice-looking wave, but, again, like, when you think of the fact that
01:27when we've got, like, Comic Book Guy and Grandpa Simpson
01:30that were part of Wave 3 of the 2.5-inch scale,
01:32it just seems so strange.
01:34Like, even to Ned Flanders.
01:35Ned Flanders has only made one appearance in the Wave 1 releases
01:38of the 2.5-inch scale,
01:39and we haven't yet gotten ourselves to Ned Flanders.
01:42So I'm hoping, though, that they're not going to just sort of be
01:45cherry-picking certain characters
01:46and making them exclusive to those certain size classes.
01:50Here's another resident.
01:51Of course, here's a regular Homer Simpson,
01:53one that would be attending Moe's tavern quite frequently.
01:56Speaking of Moe, there's Moe as well.
01:58Let's bring in Otto.
01:59And seeing as we did bring in Milhouse,
02:01let's might as well as well bring in Bart.
02:02When it comes to his lunch,
02:03and it comes to his coffee,
02:04Lenny never leaves home without them.
02:06The figure does come in clear with both.
02:07The figure, first of all, does have a packed-bag lunch.
02:10I wonder what's inside the packed-bag lunch.
02:12What was your favorite thing to have as a lunch as a kid,
02:14or maybe now, if you're going to work?
02:16I know as a kid, I would often get myself like tuna fish sandwiches.
02:19I never really liked those things, honestly.
02:21I would try to trade them off with some other friend of mine
02:23that happened to have Lunchables.
02:24And I gotta say, as a kid, if you had Lunchables,
02:26we were like the king of the court.
02:28Needless to say, my friend realized how much of a better lunch he had.
02:32There's no way you would ever trade a Lunchable
02:33for a tuna salad sandwich.
02:36Either way, though, the actual bagged lunch looks pretty good.
02:38Even though, obviously, we can't open it up.
02:40It's just made of plastic, everybody.
02:41But, obviously, it can also fit into his hands.
02:44The figure does have gripped hands on both sides,
02:46so it's quite easy, in fact, to actually just get them in there.
02:48There we go.
02:50He does have loose elbows.
02:52Oh, does he?
02:52Yeah, he does.
02:53We're gonna kind of talk about that in a second.
02:55And then the figure does also come...
02:56Comes included with a very hot cup of coffee.
03:00Probably not a good idea to have an open cup like this
03:02while you're driving if it happens to spill in your lap.
03:06That would not say hilarity would proceed.
03:08I mean, obviously, that would be scolding your prives,
03:10and we don't want to have that happen.
03:12Of course, the figure does have that.
03:13We go ahead and put that into his other hands.
03:15And yeah, Lenny's ready to go to work.
03:17The only thing about it, though, I have noticed,
03:19his elbows are a little loose.
03:20He's holding his bagged lunch all right now,
03:23and he's also doing the same for his coffee.
03:24I don't know the longevity of this, though,
03:26because it does seem like his elbows are a little loose.
03:29Anyways, let's go ahead and just remove those accessories.
03:31We'll put them off to the side.
03:32I gotta say, I'm actually thrilled the fact
03:34we got ourselves a Lenny.
03:35I hope that we do eventually get ourselves Carl as well.
03:37Well, I would also guess to be willing to bet
03:41that we are going to be getting a Moe's Tavern,
03:43but as it usually would be in the case,
03:45the Moe's Tavern's probably going to be dedicated
03:46to the slightly smaller figures.
03:48It just makes things from cost standings
03:49so much more easier for them to budget out
03:52full diorama sets when they're catering more
03:54to the smaller characters.
03:56Still, though, Lenny looks the part.
03:57I think he does certainly look the way he does in the series.
04:00Of course, he does have the same shaving issues as Homer.
04:02He shaves it quickly off,
04:03and then just grows back like a weed.
04:05Long, slicked back hair.
04:08Kind of looks a little bit like Steve Buscemi.
04:10I mean, not Steve Buscemi now.
04:12Steve Buscemi, we're talking like years ago.
04:14If they had had a live-action Simpson,
04:16that probably would have gone with him.
04:17Long nose.
04:18Kind of looks like a banana.
04:20Hey, lady, that's not a banana.
04:21That's my nose.
04:23Paint's done pretty good.
04:23I mean, there's not really much in the way of paint.
04:25They've painted the hair.
04:26They've painted the front of his stubble,
04:28and obviously they've painted the pupils.
04:29Painted the pupils.
04:30He always kind of looked Lenny, that is.
04:32Always looked like he was ready to fall asleep.
04:34Loved his voice also as well.
04:36Was that Hank Azaria that did the voice of Lenny?
04:38I think it was.
04:39As for his outfit,
04:40we've got ourselves an olive green shirt,
04:42suspenders,
04:43and of course you've got the pants being kept up like this.
04:46The gray pants look good.
04:47I mean, again, like those,
04:48I would imagine they probably would have molded this in gray plastic.
04:51Would have probably molded this in green plastic.
04:53And then only gone in there and painted the suspenders.
04:55As you can see,
04:56they're painted well on both sides.
04:57They've even actually got the little fastener clips as well,
05:00down below that's going to clip onto his pants.
05:03He does have on the back,
05:04you can see the modeling though,
05:06the stamping of where this was assembled.
05:09So, I mean,
05:09at least if you're getting at,
05:10it's going to be on the back of the figure.
05:11It's not going to be ruined things by looking at it on the front.
05:14And of course,
05:14they've got the painted down below shoes.
05:16The shoes I would imagine probably would have been molded in black plastic.
05:19Because after all,
05:20those were separate accessories,
05:21separate pieces.
05:22And then they've gone and probably would have gone in there and painted the soles.
05:25Two bug eyes.
05:26It actually kind of looks like,
05:27if I turn it kind of like this,
05:29it looks like Bugs Bunny's eyes.
05:31You see it as well?
05:32Okay.
05:32I'm not the only one.
05:33And then of course,
05:34he does have peckles on the bombs of his feet.
05:37For Lenny's articulation,
05:38his head is only sadly going to be on a swivel.
05:40That's all these figures are really going to be getting nowadays.
05:43You can't really move it up and down.
05:44If you were to move it up and down,
05:45you basically would just be ripping it off the ball joint.
05:47You'd go,
05:48you'd be so sad.
05:50And then don't be blaming me.
05:51Don't be blaming this guy.
05:52I never told you to do that.
05:53His arms do rotate.
05:54Yeah.
05:54All the way around.
05:55You can bring the arms out at 90 degrees.
05:58So you get yourself that T pose going.
06:00Again,
06:00like his shoulders seem a tad bit loose.
06:03Not to the point where if I bring his arm up,
06:05his arm's going to go.
06:07It's not going to do that.
06:08Nor is it going to make that awkward noise.
06:10However,
06:10though,
06:10the figure does have a swivel in the bicep,
06:13a single hinge only in the elbow and the hands rotate all the way around.
06:16So though I noticed getting Lenny out of packaging,
06:18his elbow is loose on this side.
06:20And it seems to be starting developing looseness on this side as well.
06:24He has a waist swivel,
06:26which is really tight on this figure.
06:28I can't even really turn it.
06:29So I'm not going to force it.
06:30I probably should have even heated this up just prior to hitting record,
06:33but there should be a swivel.
06:34All the other figures tend to have them.
06:36His legs do split out.
06:37Not a full Van Damme,
06:38mind you,
06:38but you can take the legs and move forward.
06:40You can move them back.
06:41Swivel there at the top of the thigh.
06:42That's a much easier thing to swivel than his really tight waist.
06:46Then he also has a single hinge in the knee.
06:48The lower leg doesn't necessarily rotate,
06:50but his feet certainly do.
06:51You can rotate them all the way around.
06:53You can hinge them up and down.
06:55And yeah,
06:55would you believe Virginia,
06:56there is a Santa Claus.
06:57You can ankle pivot them as well.
07:00A good looking figure.
07:01Like again,
07:02really nice that we get ourselves Lenny.
07:04And so early into this wave as well.
07:06And of course,
07:07to bring back in the residents of Moe's Tavern,
07:09there's Homer.
07:10I think we are getting ourselves,
07:12oh,
07:13now I'm drawing it.
07:14What's his name?
07:15Oh,
07:15I'm just drawing a blank.
07:16That's what the character's name is.
07:18It's going to come to me.
07:19Barney.
07:20Barney.
07:20That's who it was.
07:21We're going to be getting a Barney.
07:22But as far as I know,
07:23like a comic book guy,
07:24he's going to be in a smaller scale.
07:26Why?
07:27Why?
07:27I mean,
07:28I could see the deep cut characters,
07:29maybe releasing them in 2.5.
07:31But when it comes to more recognizable characters,
07:33that one,
07:34the residents,
07:35the common residents of Springfield,
07:37like a Barney,
07:37for example,
07:38Barney Gumbel should not just be relegated to 2.5.
07:41And you say that that might just be the case right now.
07:43And that down the road,
07:44there may be plans to release a larger size Barney.
07:46Think of just the fact that we got ourselves Ned Flanders
07:48in the very first wave of the Jack's Pacific Simpsons.
07:51He's not made any other appearances since.
07:54Some of the figures seem to be dedicated.
07:55Again,
07:55we got ourselves Grandpa Simpson.
07:57We got a comic book guy.
07:58Even Ralph.
07:59Ralph has only been released so far in a wave three.
08:02And again,
08:02that's 2.5.
08:03So I'm hoping Jack's Pacific is going to be dedicating having these characters,
08:07the more well-established characters,
08:09in both waves,
08:10not solely just in one.
08:11Shame on me.
08:12It was Scheer.
08:13Harry Scheer provided the voice of Lenny Lennard.
08:16I don't know why I was thinking it was Hank Azaria.
08:18Probably just because Hank Azaria voices like almost everybody in the world of Springfield.
08:22Harry Scheer,
08:22though,
08:22providing perfectly a voice for Lenny.
08:25Of course,
08:25he also did the voice of Otto and Montgomery Burns.
08:27The thing,
08:28though,
08:28I like about Lenny is that it's a character that,
08:30for all intents and purposes,
08:31could have easily made appearances later on in future waves.
08:34Yet,
08:35though,
08:35Jack's Pacific has been doing pretty good when it comes,
08:37even though,
08:37whatever complaints I may have when it comes to the companies,
08:40sort of handpicking certain characters for certain size classes,
08:43I will say,
08:43at least for them,
08:44they haven't just necessarily released obscure characters and thrown them into earlier ways.
08:49They've done like all the main characters of The Simpsons.
08:51I mean,
08:51we've already covered off the complete family.
08:54And now they're going in there and filling in with all the characters that we recognize.
08:57Lenny's one of the more recognizable characters while you're at the nuclear power
09:00plant,
09:00or of course,
09:01dealing with and going to Moe's Tavern after the fact.
09:04A nice looking figure.
09:06Of course,
09:06he's right now sipping his hot cup of coffee,
09:08making sure,
09:08of course,
09:09he's not going to spill it all over his prives.
09:11If you guys have had the chance to pick up Lenny,
09:13yeah,
09:14let me know down below in the comment section.
09:16The unfortunate thing about Lenny,
09:17though,
09:17is of the four figures that made up this wave,
09:19Lenny seemed to be not only the hardest to find,
09:21but also the most expensive.
09:23Actually,
09:23no,
09:23that's not true.
09:24Marge was pretty expensive along with Maggie.
09:26I ended up having to order that one from eBay.
09:29Lenny,
09:29though,
09:29I was able to find him at least him on,
09:31on Amazon and thinking right away,
09:32okay,
09:32Amazon,
09:33he's going to be going for regular retail.
09:35No,
09:35no,
09:35no,
09:35no,
09:36no,
09:36not at all.
09:37In fact,
09:37I think like Lenny was going for a,
09:39I would want to say a little over $40.
09:41It was like 40 99 or $41 way too high.
09:45Really when you think about it,
09:46but that seemed to be the case.
09:48And again,
09:49like my biggest role issue is not only just the fact that they're really
09:51plucking,
09:52plucking certain characters for certain sizes,
09:54but that Jack's Pacific still to this day will not ship anything to Canada.
09:58I mean,
09:58I can't go to a Walmart.
10:00I can't go to any like a game stops,
10:01for example,
10:02and find readily available Simpsons figures.
10:04The only way I can tend to find them is Amazon eBay or Facebook selling
10:09groups,
10:09or sometimes the toy shows as well.
10:11They definitely need to improve their distribution because there's Simpsons
10:14fans all over the world,
10:15not just in the U S certainly here in Canada as well.
10:18But what do you guys think of Lenny now?
10:19Let me know down below in the comment section.
10:21If you guys did certainly also enjoy this video and do it a solid throw it a
10:23like.
10:24Yeah.
10:25If you guys don't want to stick around for more,
10:26so,
10:27and you know,
10:27I certainly do hope so.
10:29You can hit that subscribe.
10:30You can turn on that bell.
10:31And of course,
10:32the most important thing is that you can come back as always.
10:34Thanks for watching.
10:35See you guys next time.
