Soldiers celebrate their fourth Easter on the frontlines in Ukraine

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy accuses Russia of creating a false appearance of honouring an Easter ceasefire, adding that Moscow continued to target Ukrainian cities after Putin announced the unilateral temporary truce.

00:00Soldiers celebrated a fourth consecutive Easter holiday on the front lines in Ukraine.
00:07This year was meant to offer some respite from hostilities to observe the religious occasion
00:13after the warring sides agreed to a temporary 30-hour unilateral truce on Saturday.
00:19But the peace didn't last long as accusations from both sides of breaking the ceasefire quickly emerged.
00:26Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky accused Russia of continuing its attacks while pretending to honor its proposed ceasefire.
00:33The Kremlin echoed a similar message.
00:36But despite this, celebrations for civilians and soldiers managing the hardships of war were organized across several Ukrainian cities.
00:45Military chaplains were also present to bless traditional Easter bread.
00:50Meanwhile, Russian soldiers were also treated to a special day to mark the religious occasion.
00:57The Russian Ministry of Defense released a video showing soldiers partaking in traditional Easter activities,
