00:00So my mum and dad have lived here for 53 years and on the Saturday that the fire happened they got a phone call from their neighbour to tell my dad to get out of the house their houses on fire. My dad had thought it was a joke and asked her why she really was calling and she was like no no Bob you need to get out now. My dad looked out the front door and saw that their roof was a light and then made sure that my mum came down the stairs.
00:29My mum's got limited mobility so he managed to get her downstairs. They were out of the house and the neighbour came round to make sure that they were safe whilst her husband and a lot of other people on the same road they also phoned up the fire service to report that my parents house was on fire.
00:50So since then they've now been living with me and my husband and we've had some immense donations from friends, family but people in the village offering support even if it's not monetary.
01:06It's the fact that they've got friends around that they know that they are really cared for in the community and people want to see my parents back here at the house so that they can be still part of the community which they've been with within the last 53 years.
01:22Me and my brother grew up here. It's been our only family home and so it is really devastating what my parents have been through but at the same time we're lucky we still have my parents and me and my brother will do everything we can do to get them back into the home which they've lived in for more than half of their life.
01:42We're asking people to go on to our GoFundMe page which is please help me put a roof over my parents' head.
01:48If you're a builder or in the building trade or have leftover equipment or products that we might be able to use then we would be more than willing to either meet with you or they can be dropped off and donated so that we can then literally start the build.
02:07Me and my brother have got to get scaffolding up around the house to secure it and then the build can start once we've emptied the roof that has collapsed into the building.
