00:00It's a real bad decision, the only judges we have, because everybody in here know I won this fight.
00:15I'll fight him again, no problem.
00:17Now the talking stops and the fighting begins as Orban Norris meets Arthur Williams once again for the WBA Cruiserweight Championship.
00:25Also featured tonight in the 122-pound weight class, two-time champion Wilfredo Vasquez takes on undefeated challenger Korean Jaewon Choi for the WBA Junior Featherweight title.
00:37It's all coming to you live from the Mirage Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada on Showtime Championship Boxing.
00:55And greetings from the Grand Ballroom at the Mirage Hotel and Casino as Showtime returns to Las Vegas, Nevada, where temperatures have soared to a blistering 100-plus degrees the past few weeks.
01:12Record highs, yes, very fortunate to be indoors.
01:15The Mirage first opened its doors to boxing back in 1989 with Uno Mas, Leonard Duran III.
01:21It has been the home to many championship fights, and this evening, two more are added to the growing list, headlined by our featured event,
01:28a rematch of a bruising bout that most ringside observers felt could have gone either way.
01:36Hello again, everybody. I'm Steve Albert.
01:38Welcome to another edition of Showtime Championship Boxing.
01:41And tonight, we bring you a world championship doubleheader with the main event, the very epitome of the term rematch.
01:47It would have been an injustice not to have one, particularly for the challenger, King Arthur Williams,
01:52who lost a highly disputed controversial split decision to Orlin Norris for the WBA Cruiserweight title back on March 4th.
01:59A fight that had a little bit of everything.
02:01Williams was knocked down. Norris was staggered.
02:04Both men displayed tremendous heart, but neither could put the other one away.
02:08In the end, it was a fragile victory at best for Orlin Norris.
02:12This time, Williams vows that it won't be put in the hands of the judges.
02:16He's looking to provide some early 4th of July fireworks.
02:20But King Arthur, the hometown favorite who lives right here in Las Vegas,
02:23feels he did what he had to do in the first matchup.
02:26A fight that was so close, even Norris initially reacted as though he had lost it as well.
02:32So here we are, about four months later, with Orlin Norris and Arthur Williams ready to do battle once again.
02:38Norris looking to prove that the first fight was a fluke.
02:41Williams out for revenge.
02:43As always, I'm joined here at ringside by my partner, the fight doctor Ferdi Pacheco.
02:48Bobby Chez will not be joining us.
02:49He's training for a fight later this summer.
02:52And Ferdi, could you describe what the outcome of Norris Williams 2 will mean to the Cruiserweight division?
02:57I think it only means one thing, unification of the title.
03:00Either man is looking to go up to the heavyweight.
03:02To go up there, you have to go up there with a little bit of credit so you can get the big money.
03:06I think the big money is in the unified title.
03:08Either man wins tonight.
03:09He goes for the unification.
03:11All right, before we get to our first world championship bout,
03:14we've got action from earlier tonight as the heavyweights took center stage,
03:18a preliminary lineup that included some highly ranked giants of the sport.
03:21Former IBF heavyweight champion, Tony TNT Tucker, now 34 years of age,
03:30met 31-year-old Cecil Coffey.
03:33And Tucker had his way, recording one knockdown of the first round
03:37and two more in the second to run his record to 51-2 with 41 KOs.
03:42Tony Tucker defeating Cecil Coffey by technical knockout in round number two.
03:46Also tonight, rugged Bruce Seldon, also won by TKO after round three
03:52when the referee, Jay Nady, said that Tui Toya was unable to continue because of cuts.
04:00So Bruce Seldon out of Atlantic City, New Jersey, raises his record to 30-3
04:04with 26 KOs by defeating Tui Toya by TKO round three.
04:11In addition, undefeated Francois Botha of Pretoria, South Africa, won by TKO after round six
04:18in a one-sided affair against Bill Scott.
04:21And watch this highlight from round two.
04:23Botha knocking Scott clear out of the ring.
04:27Unbelievable.
04:28As Botha goes to 31-0 with 18 knockouts.
04:32It is Francois Botha defeating Bill Scott,
04:36knocking him out of the ring in the process.
04:37TKO round number six.
04:41And, Freddie, how about your take on tonight's undercard?
04:45Why do victories such as this keep these fighters highly ranked?
04:49Well, if you're a connected fighter, it means you have a good manager and a good promoter.
04:52You need these kind of victories to justify going up in the ratings
04:55and later to justify a shot at the title.
04:58But if you're not well-connected, if you're just an opponent,
05:00this is just another day at the beach for the opponents.
05:03And they come in, they get paydays, they lose, and they leave.
05:06All right, the first of two world championship fights on tonight's docket straight ahead.
05:11And with that, we take you behind the scenes into the dressing room of WBA junior featherweight champion,
05:16Wilfredo Vazquez, who may not exactly be a household name,
05:20yet he is unquestionably one of the most respected champions in the world today.
05:24The other junior featherweight champions may be more recognizable names,
05:29like WBC title holder Tracy Patterson and IVF champ Kennedy McKinney,
05:33but the WBA is well represented in Wilfredo Vazquez.
05:37He is also the former WBA featherweight champion,
05:40and tonight he makes his seventh defense of the junior featherweight crown.
05:43The experienced Vazquez brings a very impressive resume into tonight's fight,
05:47a little man who packs a big punch.
05:51And tonight in our co-feature, the veteran Wilfredo Vazquez of Puerto Rico
05:56will defend his WBA junior featherweight title
05:58against number one rated and undefeated Cheywon Choi of Korea
06:02in his first shot at a world championship.
06:07Now this fight is somewhat of a rarity here in the United States,
06:10a country that does not normally showcase the lighter weight classes.
06:14We're accustomed to seeing the bigger guys, the lighter fighters,
06:18usually associated with countries like Mexico, Japan, and Korea.
06:22So tonight, a novelty of sorts is American soil will host a 122-pound world championship.
06:28Tonight is also an opportunity for Americans to see one of the world's top champions
06:32versus an undefeated number one contender.
06:35Wilfredo Vazquez has held the WBA junior featherweight title for over two years,
06:39and this evening he puts his championship belt on the line
06:42against former Korean national champion and highly regarded Cheywon Choi.
06:48Back here with the fight, Dr. Freddie, what type of fight do you expect in terms of style?
06:53Well, Vazquez, because of his vast experience and because he's on a roll,
06:57he's just had seven fights, he's an aggressive fighter.
07:00He's got a heavy punch.
07:01As far as Choi, we haven't seen that much of him.
07:03And of course, his manager tells me, he tells me he's a defensive fighter.
07:06He likes to see what the other guy has and come in a boxing style.
07:10If he boxes carefully but runs away from Vazquez, Vazquez will eat him up.
07:16Now, Vazquez has been a lot more active than Choi, who had some management problems.
07:20Will that be a factor in your estimation?
07:22Very big factor.
07:23A well-tried champion who is on a roll, who's got his mojo going,
07:28who's got seven fights in a row against a guy who hadn't fought but once in two years.
07:32It's a big difference, big advantage for Vazquez, big advantage.
07:37All right, with that, let's take our first look at the challenger, J-1 Choi,
07:42who turned 27 on July the 10th.
07:45Choi, the number-one-rated junior featherweight contender, according to the WBA,
07:49hails from the village of Ixon...
07:51Choi, who turns 27 on July the 10th.
07:55Choi, the number-one-rated junior featherweight contender, according to the WBA,
07:58hails from the village of Ixon Gun in Chunbok, Korea,
08:02which is a few hundred miles away from Seoul.
08:04He's undefeated, 18-0, with eight knockouts.
08:06Tonight represents his first shot at a world title.
08:09Here we go!
08:13This is the first shot!
08:14This is the first case, to head Michelle,
08:17who did not think it was the first shot!
08:21The finishes were stung in line of camp with Russian undoubtedly.
08:29Even after Japan was targeted ye plus callsистs amongさ.
08:33Choosing, century featherweight contender,
09:06Jaewon Choi doing some last-second praying, making his Las Vegas debut.
09:10In fact, he's fighting for the first time outside of Asia, has not been very active of late.
09:15Only one fight in two years, as we mentioned that because of management problems,
09:21and that was this past December, that fight we are referring to.
09:25A 10-round decision over the number two challenger, Antonio Cermeno, in Seoul, Korea.
09:31An elimination bout, which set up tonight's title shot with Vasquez.
09:37So a look at Jaewon Choi, 18-0 with eight knockouts.
09:42Tonight his first world title shot and his first fight in Las Vegas.
09:47The former Korean national super bantamweight champ and Oriental Pacific Boxing Federation junior featherweight champion.
09:53And now, let's take a look at the champion veteran, Wilfredo Vasquez, who turns 34 in August.
10:00Vasquez, out of Bayamo, Puerto Rico, has a record of 46-3 with 32 KOs.
10:06The current WBA junior featherweight champion is the former WBA bantamweight title holder.
10:11Tonight, he makes his seventh defense of the 122-pound title,
10:15a title he's held since March of 92, when he stopped Raul Perez in the third, a surprising victory.
10:21And now, let's take a look at the champion.
10:51Wilfredo Vasquez, who has displayed much resiliency during the course of his successful career.
11:20Vasquez lost his first professional fight back in 1981, but he bounced back with 23 consecutive victories, 17 by knockout.
11:28Then, after losing his first crack at a world title, he bounced back again, winning the WBA bantamweight crown.
11:34After losing the title, plus a brief one-plus-year retirement, also management woes,
11:39he captured his second world title, which he defends once again tonight.
11:44Let's see how they stack up on paper now as we go to the tail of the tape.
11:48At 33, Vasquez is seven years older than Choi.
11:51The height almost even.
11:53Vasquez, 121.5 pounds.
11:55Choi at the limit, 122, and a two-inch reach advantage for Choi.
12:00And of the WBA rules for this championship fight, operating under the 10-point must-scoring system, three judges will score the fight.
12:08There is no standing eight count.
12:10The three-knockdown rule is in effect.
12:11Only the referee can stop the fight, and a fighter cannot be saved by the bell except in the last round.
12:18So, here at the Grand Ballroom, Mirage Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas,
12:22closing in on the WBA Junior Featherweight Championship,
12:26Wilfredo Vasquez and J-Won Choi.
12:29Set for the official introductions, we go to our ring announcer, Jimmy Lennon Jr.

13:22and Marco Rodriguez, Jr.
13:25And the referee in charge of this bout,
13:27he'll be giving instructions after the introductions,
13:30Mitch Halpern.
13:32All right, fans, here we go,
13:35with the WBA Junior Featherweight Championship of the World,
13:39scheduled for 12 rounds of boxing.
13:43Introducing to you first the challenger,
13:46on my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
13:49He enters the ring wearing blue trunks with white trim,
13:52and he hails from Seoul, South Korea.
13:56He weighed in at 122 pounds,
14:00and his record includes 18 wins.
14:03No losses, with eight wins coming by way of knockout.
14:07He is ranked the number one Junior Featherweight contender by the WBA.
14:11Please welcome tonight's challenger,
14:13the undefeated,
14:15J-1 Choi.
14:17And his opponent across the ring on my left
14:28is the defending world champion fighting out of the red corner.
14:32He is wearing red trunks with white trim,
14:35and fighting out of Bayamon, Puerto Rico.
14:39His weight, 121 and one-half pounds.
14:42His record, 40 wins, six losses, three draws,
14:47with 32 wins coming by way of knockout.
14:50Tonight, he is making his seventh defense of his title.
14:54Please welcome the WBA Junior Featherweight Champion of the World.
14:57They call him
14:58El Gran Campeon Puerto Riqueño,
15:02Wilfredo Vázquez.
15:09Once again, here's a referee in charge,
15:11Mitch Halpern, now to give instructions.
15:16All right, this is for the championship of the world.
15:18We've already put the instructions in the dressing room.
15:19I want a good, clean fight.
15:20I want to pay my commands at all times.
15:22Any questions?
15:23All right, touch the gloves.
15:24Let's go.
15:24Come on.
15:29Final instructions from the referee,
15:31Mitch Halpern,
15:32here at the Mirage Hotel and Casino.
15:35The champion, Wilfredo Vázquez,
15:36a star in his native Puerto Rico,
15:38but seeking recognition in the United States.
15:41Arguably the best fighter out of Puerto Rico,
15:43former three-time world champion,
15:45Wilfredo Gomez,
15:45a man Vázquez emulates.
15:48And J. Juan Choi,
15:49he's fought all of his fights in Korea,
15:51except for one in Japan and one in Indonesia,
15:54comes in a three-to-one underdog.
15:56So, here we go.
16:00Round one scheduled for 12
16:02for the WBA Junior Featherweight Championship.
16:04Vázquez told us yesterday
16:06he has observed tapes of Choi,
16:09describing him as a tough guy,
16:10a batter with a lot of will.
16:12His biggest concern is Choi's headbutting,
16:14which was noticeable in his last bout
16:16with Antonio Cermeno.
16:18Vázquez said his strategy
16:20is to study Choi the first two rounds,
16:22and after the second round,
16:23we'll go after him and take him out.
16:25We'll see if he lives up to that, Ferdy.
16:28Well, right now, not much is happening.
16:29They're just kind of looking at each other.
16:32Choi has said he just likes to take that defense
16:35and use it to see what the other guy's coming with
16:38and then start.
16:39I don't think he's got that big a punch
16:40to hurt Vázquez in the early rounds,
16:42and Wilfredo certainly has a big punch
16:45to stop you in the early rounds.
16:47So, let's see what happens.
16:48He almost turned him around with a right hand.
16:49Vázquez in the red possesses a sledgehammer left.
16:55A powerful punch utilized to deck Raul Perez
16:57to capture the WBA junior featherweight title
17:00in March of 92.
17:01Third round TKO.
17:03There goes that right hand again.
17:04Once, he almost turned him around,
17:05and this time he went way back with it
17:07like a wand in the wind.
17:09And there it goes again.
17:10His right hand, also a knockout punch,
17:12as evidenced in his last fight, March the 2nd,
17:15when he flattened Uichi Kasai twice
17:17within a minute 15 of the first round
17:19in Tokyo, Japan.
17:21Well, I'll be very surprised
17:22if he didn't come back to it.
17:23Three times he's thrown it
17:24with maximum effect each time.
17:27Vázquez, a seasoned veteran,
17:29classic boxer-puncher.
17:30Smooth straight up, straight ahead.
17:32Approach keeps coming forward,
17:34as you can see.
17:35Excellent tools, well-disciplined.
17:37He doesn't think Choi has the legs
17:40to withstand the pressure.
17:42He may not have the jaw either.
17:43He's really getting some shots to the jaw.
17:46Tested him.
17:47He didn't come up too well with the test.
17:48He really moved back
17:49with each one of those punches.
17:51Showing Vázquez that he is getting hurt
17:53by the punches.
17:54That's a bad thing to show a guy
17:55that's got the killer instinct
17:57that Wilfredo Vázquez has.
17:59Three big Wilfredos came out of Puerto Rico,
18:02and this may be one of the best.
18:04Benitez, the other.
18:06There was a right hook
18:07that almost did the damage.
18:09This guy just doesn't take a punch.
18:10And Troy reacts to every punch
18:13he's got taken.
18:15In fact, Vázquez would like
18:16to join Gomez and Benitez,
18:18the other Wilfredos,
18:19as three-time world champions.
18:21Someday perhaps stepping up
18:22and winning the Bantamweight title.
18:23Here's another good lunging right hand,
18:25another right by Vázquez.
18:29Vázquez is also an excellent
18:31combination thrower,
18:32terrific defensive fighter as well.
18:34He's got a very good chin,
18:36knows how to deflect punches
18:37with his arms and elbows.
18:40Well, if he stays economic,
18:41as he's been doing here,
18:43just throwing when he's pretty sure
18:44he can hit,
18:45and hitting with the kind of power
18:46he's hitting,
18:47Troy is in for a bad, bad night.
18:50Final seconds of the opening round.
18:53And that was the fourth right hand
18:55that drove him back.
18:56How hot is it here in Las Vegas?
19:05Well, outside in the shade,
19:08it's around 110 degrees.
19:10That is just outside
19:12Orlin Norris' dressing room.
19:14Fortunately, he is in
19:15an air-conditioned trailer.
19:19Ringside, it's nearly 100 degrees.
19:22Indoors, to say that Las Vegas
19:23is experiencing a heat wave,
19:25is putting it mildly.
19:27Record temperatures all week long.
19:32All right, let's take a look
19:33at that good right hand
19:33because more than anything,
19:36notice the reaction.
19:37That almost turns him around,
19:39screws him into the canvas.
19:40That's surprising to see
19:41a professional fighter
19:43take that kind of reaction
19:44to a shot.
19:45He got hit four of them,
19:46by the way.
19:46So a good round
19:55for Wilfredo Vazquez,
19:57round number one.
19:59And here is round two.
20:02Since losing a first round KO
20:04against Israel Contreras in 1990,
20:06Vazquez has won 11 in a row,
20:08eight by knockout.
20:09He's 46-3 overall
20:11with 32 KOs.
20:13He turns 34 August 2nd.
20:15He says he's in better shape now
20:17than when he started fighting.
20:18He'd like to fight
20:19until he's 40
20:20and maybe beyond.
20:21The way fighters are going now,
20:23that may not be a problem.
20:25The other night,
20:25Durant fought at 43.
20:27That's too old.
20:29I'm against that.
20:30Think we can start
20:30a senior's tour?
20:31No, you get hurt.
20:32The more senior you are,
20:34the more senior
20:34the damage to your brain.
20:37Talking about the thermometer,
20:38both fighters say
20:39the sweltering hot weather
20:40here in Las Vegas.
20:41Not a factor.
20:43Oh, there's a factor.
20:44A right hand
20:45by Wilfredo Vazquez
20:47that lowers the boom on Troy.
20:49I mean, that was predictable.
20:50He's been landing it all night long.
20:52Troy's in bad trouble.
20:53Look at me.
20:54Come towards me.
20:55Okay.
20:56That's odd.
20:57He doesn't understand English too well.
20:58So,
20:59I mean, that right hand
21:01is so predictable.
21:02I mean,
21:03in the corner,
21:04they told him,
21:04just throw it.
21:05Just turn around and throw it.
21:07And, of course, he did.
21:08There he goes again.
21:09If he follows it up with a hook,
21:11it'll be Kirk.
21:12If he throws the right hand
21:13and nails him
21:14with the left hook afterwards.
21:20Vazquez airing it out.
21:23The first knockdown
21:25coming 45 seconds
21:27into round two.
21:29Halfway through the round.
21:32Oh, down he goes again.
21:34Just above us.
21:35And keep in mind,
21:36the free knockdown rule
21:37is in effect.
21:38He may stop it here.
21:40He's in such herky-jerky condition.
21:43And that is it.
21:44Mitch Halpern says enough.
21:47A correct stoppage
21:49because he had no legs under him.
21:51He didn't know where he was at.
21:52And the right hand
21:53was such a thing of beauty
21:55and so destructive.
21:55He should not be subjected
21:57to further punishment.
21:58Excellent call
21:58on the part
21:59of Mitch Halpern.
22:01And Wilfredo Vazquez
22:02makes his seventh defense
22:04of the WBA Junior Featherweight Championship.
22:10Meanwhile,
22:11Jaewon Choi
22:12will have a long
22:14flight back to
22:15Seoul, Korea
22:16with his first defeat.
22:18Now 18-1
22:19in his first world title shot.
22:22Well,
22:24the outcome of this fight
22:25was easily predictable
22:26from the first right hand
22:27that almost screwed him
22:28into the canvas.
22:29You said,
22:29boy,
22:29if it had that effect
22:31and it's just starting to match
22:32it was going to happen
22:32to him when it rains down
22:34the right hands.
22:38Vazquez celebrating
22:39with the championship belt.
22:41Let's take a look
22:42at the first knockdown,
22:43which is just a pinpoint
22:44right hand.
22:45I mean,
22:45can you land it better than that?
22:47That's almost Hollywood stuff.
22:48I'm right on the button,
22:50a right cross
22:51with all the power he had.
22:53And the second knockdown
22:54is just by this time,
22:55there's very little left
22:56of his defenses
22:57right on the button again,
22:58the right hand.
22:59I mean,
23:00I don't think he missed
23:00the right hand
23:01that he threw
23:02with evil intention.
23:04Everyone landed.
23:05See,
23:05when he gets up,
23:06he just has absolutely
23:07no control
23:08of his legs or himself.
23:09He can't even
23:10maintain his balance.
23:11So,
23:12excellent stoppage,
23:13quick fight,
23:14and a quick night
23:15for Vazquez,
23:16who is rapidly creeping
23:17into the competition
23:18of being as good
23:19as Wilfredo Gomez.
23:20And that's very,
23:22very good.
23:24There he is,
23:25Wilfredo.
23:27Vazquez,
23:28who has brought
23:28pride to Puerto Rico
23:30following in the footsteps
23:31of two other champions
23:33from that beautiful island
23:36as 30 pointed out,
23:38Benitez and Gomez.
23:40In fact,
23:41as we mentioned,
23:41someday Vazquez
23:42hopes to join the two other
23:43Wilfredo's
23:44as three-time world champions.
23:46with the featherweight title.
23:49Vazquez,
23:50a good family man,
23:51a wife and three sons.
23:52I met 10-year-old
23:53Wilfredo Jr.
23:54yesterday,
23:54who showed off
23:55his boxing skills
23:56via some nifty
23:57shadow boxing,
23:58which prompted a big smile
23:59from his proud papa.
24:01Who knows,
24:01perhaps a future champion
24:02there himself,
24:03and seeing his father
24:05fight in person
24:05for the first time tonight.
24:07So,
24:07a real thrill
24:08for Wilfredo Jr.
24:12We are set
24:13for the official time.
24:14Let's go up
24:15to our ring announcer,
24:15Jimmy Lennon Jr.
24:16Ladies and gentlemen,
24:22we have the time
24:22of one minute
24:2346 seconds.
24:25In round number two,
24:27the referee in charge,
24:29Mitch Halpern,
24:29stops the contest,
24:31a winner by way
24:32of technical knockout
24:33and still champion,
24:35el gran campeón
24:37of the first time.
24:38And the first time
24:39of the first time
24:39of the first time
24:40of the first time
24:41of the first time
24:41of the first time
24:42of the first time
24:42of the first time
24:43of the first time.
24:44So there he is,
24:48Wilfredo Vazquez,
24:50who holds the distinction
24:51of making the most
24:51defenses of the WBA
24:53Junior Featherweight
24:54title now at seven.
24:57Coming up next
24:58here at the Mirage Hotel
24:59and Casino
24:59in Las Vegas,
25:00our main event,
25:02the WBA Cruiserweight
25:04after Williams
25:05in a rematch
25:05of their controversial
25:06split decision
25:07which went to Norris
25:08this past March.
25:14Right now,
25:14we're set for post-fight
25:15reaction from our first
25:16bout,
25:17so let's go up
25:17to the fight,
25:18Dr. Ferdi Pacheco
25:19in the ring.
25:21All right.
25:22Paquette,
25:23estamos ahora en televisión,
25:25dame a hablar.
25:25La primera derecha,
25:26que casi lo metiste
25:27dentro del campus
25:29como la primera.
25:29Te sorprendió
25:30que era tan fácil darle.
25:32Bueno,
25:32yo había visto
25:33una casa
25:33y yo sabía
25:34que él cogía mucho
25:35golpe,
25:35pero pensé
25:36que era más fuerte
25:37porque en las peleas
25:38que vine,
25:39era un boxeador fuerte.
25:40I asked him
25:41was he surprised
25:43that landing
25:43the right hand
25:44was such ease
25:44and with such big effect?
25:45He said he wasn't
25:46surprised at hitting
25:47him,
25:47he was surprised
25:48at the effect
25:49because he looked
25:50to be strong
25:51on the tape.
25:52Y el knockdown,
25:53los dos,
25:54el knockdown.
25:54¿Tú crees que ya
25:55iba a acabar
25:55en el segundo asalto?
25:56Este sí,
25:57en el segundo asalto
25:59cuando le dio
25:59el otro knockdown,
26:00ya yo sabía
26:00que era cuestión
26:01de dos o tres golpes
26:02y ponerle presión
26:03que ya lo tenía
26:04en ese iniciación.
26:05I asked him
26:05if he thought
26:06the second round
26:06would be the end.
26:07He said yes,
26:07the coroner told him
26:08it was the end
26:09in the second round
26:10and he pressured him.
26:10He pressured him,
26:11he didn't feel
26:11the strength of him
26:13and he landed
26:13excellent right hand.
26:14Therefore,
26:15he finished the fight.
26:16¿De aquí para donde?
26:17All right,
26:29I asked him,
26:30I asked him
26:30what he wanted to do
26:32when he was going
26:32to go up.
26:33He said he'd like
26:34to take a few more
26:35shots at this title
26:36and take advantage
26:37of his role
26:38that he's on,
26:39but he would like
26:39to move up
26:40to 126 pounds
26:41if they let him
26:41go up there.
26:42And this is
26:43Tutu Zavala,
26:43one of my long-time
26:44friends in boxing
26:45and you now have
26:47another champion
26:48on your hands.
26:49Are you letting
26:49him go up?
26:50Yes,
26:51he wants to fight
26:51for the featherweight
26:52title.
26:53We are working
26:53maybe with Don King
26:54to do it
26:55the featherweight title.
26:56He wants to win
26:57three titles.
26:57He wants to win
26:58three titles.
26:58He wants to win
27:00the featherweight title.
27:02You know,
27:02he has no problem
27:03with the weight,
27:04but he wants
27:04to win three titles.
27:05All right,
27:05you heard that
27:06from Tutu Zavala,
27:07one of the kings
27:07of Cuban boxing.
27:08And now,
27:09one last little
27:10thing and then
27:10we got to go.
27:11I want to send
27:12a shout out
27:13to Puerto Rico
27:13to my people,
27:14especially to Bayamón.

27:20to Steve Albert.

27:21a salute to all
27:22of Puerto Rico.
27:23And now,
27:24for Steve Albert,
27:25a salute to one guy
27:26at ringside.
27:28All right,

28:35someday and be the
28:36featherweight champ
28:37and be a three-time
28:39world champion.
28:40Not exactly a household
28:42name as we mentioned
28:43in the early going
28:44like the other great
28:44Puerto Rican fighters,
28:46Benitez and Gomez,
