00:00And we'll start off with the American League Central matchup.
00:02It is this afternoon, Jackson Joe for the Tigers, who was so good in spring training.
00:06We'll see if he can get going in the big leagues.
00:09Chris Paddock, yes, that same Chris Paddock for the Minnesota Twins.
00:13And then on Sunday, it's Casey Mize versus Simeon Woods-Richardson.
00:17So not the sexiest matchups of all.
00:20Both these teams are sort of offensively challenged, to say the least.
00:24Eventually, the Twins' offense will get better.
00:26They'll get Royce Lewis.
00:27Well, maybe they'll get Royce Lewis back.
00:28I don't know.
00:29But for a couple hours.
00:32Yeah, honestly, you never know.
00:33So what do you make of these matchups this weekend?
00:36I still am high on Job.
00:38I do think he'll get it going.
00:39But it is a rookie pitcher.
00:41It is the big leagues.
00:42And so you never really do truly know.
00:44See these guys, Chris Paddock, Simeon Woods-Richardson.
00:47This is why I keep telling everybody to stash Zebby Matthews right now for a buck.
00:50Because you can absolutely do that.
00:52And he's going to be up sooner than later.
00:54So David Festa, Zebby Matthews, those are the guys.
00:57Simeon Woods-Richardson right now.
00:59Have we all looked at the ERA?
01:00It's 5-5-9.
01:02He's got a 1-8-6 whip.
01:03He's got 13 hits in nine innings.
01:05I'm running away from him.
01:06And Casey Mines on the other side has been brilliant.
01:09And if you watched FST last Sunday, he was one of the two-star pitchers we talked about adding.
01:13And the reason being, he was going to cost you very little if he was still available out there on the waiver wire.
01:18The best case scenario was he was really good in that first start against the Yankees.
01:23And guess what?
01:23He was.
01:24And now he's got a good start against the Twins.
01:26So now it's just bonus time for you for Casey Mize.
01:28And the worst case scenario was in being really good in those two starts.
01:32And then you having to pay three times the amount on the waiver wire for him.
01:35So if you watched FST with Craig Mish or with me, Joe Pizzapio, on Sunday, hopefully you had Casey Mize already locked and loaded into your lineups.
01:44And that's the only guy of these four that I'm touching.
01:46Jackson Jobe is still a work in progress.
01:48So I'm going to speculate on young Twins pitchers still on their way and play the long game there.
01:54But I'm going to play the short game with Casey Mize.

01:57Phillies at the Cardinals.
01:58Boy, Phillies got some juicy matchups for these games this weekend.
02:03We got Christopher Sanchez against Miles Michaels.
02:05Miles Michaels debuted back in 2012 with the San Diego Padres and has had a fantastic Major League Baseball career.
02:14Any player who pitches this long in baseball and survives that long has got to be given a lot of credit.
02:21But, oh, my gosh, 11 ERA this year going into the game against Philly.
02:26I want to say that because I know how hard it is to get to the big leagues.
02:28And everyone's crapping all over Michaelis.
02:30And I understand it.
02:31Things do come to an end eventually.
02:33This is a tough one.
02:34And then on Sunday, it's Zach Wheeler time against the Cardinals, too.
02:38Matthew Libertor there.
02:39So, yeah, I mean, I would assume the Phillies pour some things on the Cardinals this weekend.
02:45But, again, the Cardinals shut them down last night.
02:47So who knows?
02:49Look, I'll take my chances here and play the law of averages with the Phillies guys.
02:53Sanchez has been very solid.
02:55He's got a four ERA, but 16 strikeouts.
02:57There's three walks.
02:59Wheeler is great under the last outing.
03:00He got beat around.
03:01It was an outing against Chris Sale.
03:04It was Sale and Wheeler.
03:06And the total for that game was seven.
03:08And I thought I was the smartest man on the planet going, oh, I'm going to take the under on this one.
03:11This feels like a pitcher's duel all the way.
03:13They hit the over in the third inning.
03:15It was very disappointing, very depressing.
03:18But anyway, we'll bounce back here.
03:20The Cardinals are not good.
03:21Offensively, they've got some players.
03:23You know, Victor Scott, Jordan Walker.
03:25They seem like guys figuring it out.
03:27Finally, they're in that rebuild.
03:29They should trade Sonny Gray and see what else they can bring in.
03:31But this is an organization that is bereft of young pitching talent outside of Quinn Matthews, who I think is going to be terrific.
03:38So they need more arms.
03:40They need them fast.
03:41So Quinn Matthews, another guy.
03:42If you don't have him rostered in deep leagues, it's a mistake.
03:45He should be to the big leagues sooner than later.
03:46But I'm heavily favoring the Phillies this weekend, just like Vegas is.
