00:00So the signal crisis essentially guaranteed to make the Democrats and anyone who opposes Donald
00:05Trump basically apoplectic, and yet the Democrats as a party haven't been able to make it stick.
00:11Why? Well, I think partly because this was not about Donald Trump.
00:15And there were a lot of Republicans who spoke out as well and said this was careless,
00:20this was foolish, all of which is true, but it wasn't about Trump. So that's number one.
00:25And number two, there's so much other news that really impacts everyday life for everyday Americans constantly,
00:32that while things like this were a flashpoint, because there was very little dissension within Trump world,
00:37there was some but not much, Trump was able to move past this.
00:41And voters are focused on what impacts them.
00:45And that's one of the key lessons I think Democrats are trying to grapple with,
00:48is they talked on all these issues that most voters don't really care about.
00:53So every time I would watch a college football game during the fall, let's say North Carolina versus Georgia Tech,
00:58I'm watching that game, two swing states, every commercial break, Kamala Harris cares about they, them,
01:05Donald Trump cares about you.
01:06That was a really important message for Trump. It's one of the reasons that he won.
