00:00Balloon seller Muhammad Zaimuddin Azlan lodged a police report on Sunday over injuries he
00:07sustained in March during an altercation with Kuala Lumpur City Hall or DBKL officers.
00:13A tearful Muhammad Zaimuddin, who was accompanied by his mother, Hasnah Mat, during a press
00:19conference, said he was only earning a living for himself and for his family.
00:23If I'm poor, do I have trash cans?
00:26Can DBKL treat me like trash?
00:30I have dignity.
00:32I thank everyone who helped me.
00:36I want to change.
00:38It's not easy to be poor and difficult.
00:41I will fight because this is a cruel thing.
00:46On the power side,
00:49please take care of your integrity.
00:51Please act according to the law.
00:54I'm just trying to find a way for myself and my family.
00:59We also want to live like other people.
01:04His lawyer, Rafiq Rashid, said they are considering legal action when the full medical report
01:09is obtained.
01:10He also questioned claims Muhammad Zaimuddin had a previous criminal record.
01:16This comes after reports cited a source saying the balloon trader has 13 prior criminal records,
01:22mostly related to narcotics.
01:25Rafiq also urged the Attorney General's Chambers to hear the trader's side of the story before
01:30making any decision.
01:32Recently, it was reported that two of the three investigation papers initiated following
01:38the altercation between the balloon vendor and DBKL officers have been referred to the
01:43AGC.
01:45Following the incident, DBKL said it will review its procedures and investigate the
01:50scuffle between its enforcement officers and the balloon seller.
