00:00So, as a fan of Bates Motel, a big fan, it was hard to watch this new episode with Bodie
00:04standing there next to all the marijuana plants and not have flashbacks to Dylan guarding
00:08all those plants on Bates Motel, so I have to assume that was an intentional nod.
00:13Well, and so, I'm going to go one level deeper here.
00:17I think I know where you're going.
00:19With W. Earl?
00:20No.
00:21Mickey's dad?
00:22Oh, was he, he was.
00:23Mickey's dad, Mickey's dad is who we bought the motel from.
00:28Oh, that's right.
00:29I was thinking, like, because I was thinking, like, also Dylan, his partner, like, went
00:32on a, he was killed and Dylan had to bring him in, and the same thing with the rattlesnakes,
00:36so I was thinking, like, from that perspective.
00:37No, no, no.
00:38W. Earl Brown is the one who owned the motel that Norma, Norma, Norman and Norma purchased
00:44and, like, set off the whole thing in the beginning.
00:46It's crazy.
00:47So, that has to be intentional, but why did it take you, like, did you want to take maybe
00:50a few seasons before you did kind of nods to your career for fans like me who, like,
00:54loved you, Bates Motel, Nancy Drew?
00:58Well, I don't know if I've done any Nancy Drew nods yet in Fire Country.
01:01It's coming.
01:02We still have time.
01:03I'm getting my sleuthing kit out here soon, but no, I mean, look, like, the big thing
01:09for us is, you know, the show's centered in Northern California, you know, and our version
01:15of a humble county, like, county, and, like, marijuana is really the industry and has been
01:22for a long time, and, yeah, so we're kind of, we're back to it.
01:28We're back to some of those Bates ways again.
