00:00Even if they achieved their dreams as wrestlers,
00:04there are still many who are not convinced with the field they entered.
00:08I'm sure your family, your friends would tell you,
00:13Is there money in there?
00:15Is there money in Filipino wrestling?
00:19I can't say that it's comparable to full-time jobs.
00:23But there is money in it.
00:27Also, I think most of the money that we get is from merchandise.
00:31So the fans who buy our t-shirts, our stickers,
00:35or whatever we're trying to sell, really helps us.
00:39For example, this gear that I'm wearing alone,
00:43it's like $200, something like that.
00:47With the shoes and everything.
00:51It's quite expensive.
00:53The truth is, like what Crystal said,
00:55we survive through merch sales, through fan support, and our own pockets.
00:59So I would say that the industry will earn more than when they started 10 years ago.
01:09More than 10 years ago.
01:11But on the same regard, it's right that it's not a full-time job. Not at all.
01:15It's really a passion project with a sense of responsibility to turn it into a sustainable day job.
01:23And at the end of the day, you're doing this not for the money.
01:27You're doing this for your dream.
01:29For the love.
01:31For the love.
01:33In other countries, for example, Japan,
01:37the wrestlers there have their own spirit.
01:39It's really an industry.
01:41We want to get to that point.
01:45At present, our Filipino wrestlers are considered successful.
01:49But because of their success,
01:51they still can't escape their femininity.
01:55Recent experience that Crystal mentally helped me,
02:01I had this wrestling clip of an inter-gender match between me and a male wrestler.
02:07And then it went viral.
02:09It was like 19 million views on Instagram before I took it down.
02:15But the reason why it got to 19 million views was because it was being shared worldwide and being sexualized.
02:23By different people.
02:25Men mostly.
02:27So you fought with a man.
02:29And then?
02:31And then the comments were like,
02:33if I were that guy,
02:37I would do this to stop the girl.
02:41So it was very sexualized.
02:43And that really took a hit to me mentally.
02:47I wanted to quit social media.
02:49But in our group chat, we were talking about it.
02:53And Crystal said,
02:55just don't tweet them.
02:57I want to fight both men and women.
02:59Because I didn't just enjoy the challenge.
03:03For me, it's a testament every time I step in the ring.
03:08I don't believe the bashers who say that girls should only fight girls.
03:13In a way, a lot of people like to think that we're not on the same level as guys.
03:20But if you look at us in training,
03:22if you look at the commitment we all put in pro wrestling,
03:26you'll see that sometimes women's hunger to commit to training is even stronger.
03:33Crystal has gone through all the hardships of being the only female wrestler in the Philippines.
03:39Something that she doesn't want to experience by other upcoming Filipino wrestlers.
03:45You know, you have to work up the muscles.
03:47And then we also work out in our own separate ways before wrestling.
03:51So...
03:53Yes.
04:00When I started, I was the only one cooking.
04:04There were a lot of comments saying,
04:06go back to the kitchen.
04:09Just cook there.
04:11And then,
04:13I didn't listen.
04:15So,
04:17I just pursued my dream.
04:19I wanted this to come into fruition.
04:21I wanted to be something.
04:22I wanted to make a name for myself.
04:25So, I had this if-if in me.
04:28I don't need to listen to whatever they're saying.
04:31And I will show them that I'm better than them.
04:35I can do this, I can do that.
04:37I just feel proud.
04:39Whenever these girls...
04:42I'm always concerned about them.
04:44Because I've gone through all of it.
04:46All of it.
04:48Whenever they...
04:49Whenever they chat me,
04:50because we have a group chat for all the women.
04:53Whenever they chat me,
04:55messages, comments,
04:58even personal messages on our pages.
05:02Asking like,
05:03this and that.
05:05I always tell them,
05:06don't listen to anything they're saying.
05:08They're just demeaning you.
05:10They don't mean anything.
05:11Just do what you want to do.
05:131 to 2.
05:15And even though they don't make that much money in this industry,
05:19the return of this happiness is bigger
05:22in their hearts
05:24and in the hearts of the viewers.
05:28Bang!
05:29A soulmate for your troubles, Mr. Incelman.
05:34But doesn't it become, in a way,
05:36more special,
05:38your craft?
05:40Because you're doing this not just for the money,
05:43but because it's your passion.
05:46Right?
05:47The passion won't be paid for.
05:49It's rewarding.
05:51It's not because I need to get money out of it.
05:54It's not because I want more followers or fans.
05:58It's just because I'm popular.
06:00So whenever I get something,
06:02it just feels so nice.
06:04Because the fans support me for just living my dream.
06:09Which just feels heartwarming.
06:11It's like that.
06:12We're at a point where it's still a loss.
06:14In the sense that,
06:16you spend more on wrestling
06:18than you earn.
06:19Yeah, than you earn.
06:20But then,
06:23it's really just
06:25loving it enough to put in the work.
06:28It's a detractor for some.
06:29Like some people enter training thinking that
06:32they'll see us here,
06:33then they realize,
06:34no, you'll still lose here.
06:36But, you know,
06:37only the truly passionate ones stay.
06:39And it's really the goal
06:42that we're still at a loss.
06:44But with enough love,
06:45enough hard work,
06:46and enough commitment,
06:48we both have the privilege and the responsibility
06:51to watch the industry grow.
06:53Because, of course, at the end of the day,
06:55we've invested so much time,
06:57so much effort,
06:58so much commitment.
06:59And it also feels good
07:01that it'll come back to us.
07:03And especially the future generation
07:05of Pinay wrestlers.
07:09He's locked in.
07:10Is he going to tap out?
07:11He can make it.
07:12There it is.
07:13In a world where only men reign,
07:15Crystal, Super P, and Patricia proved
07:18that they're not different from the world around them.
07:22Patricia Ligaya.
07:25Oh!
07:27No matter how much others belittle them,
07:29they still raised their hearts
07:32in the field they chose.
07:36Strength is not really just physical.
07:39It's more here and more here.
07:43Right?
07:44It's endurance.
07:46Right?
07:47And most of the time,
07:48it's the women who really endure the most.
07:52Right?
07:53Who really endure the most.
07:54And that strength is different.
07:56No matter what shape or size or gender you are.
08:01Anybody can be a wrestler.
08:03What are the qualities to become a wrestler?
08:09That's why we're called Puso Wrestling
08:11because we acknowledge that
08:13what wrestlers need is heart.
08:16A strong heart,
08:17whether it be the physical aspect of it,
08:20whether it be the mental aspect of it.
08:23And you know that we keep going
08:27because we love this.
08:28We love this industry.
08:30We love wrestling.
08:31Because like what Super P said,
08:32it's really about the heart.
08:34And it's easy to say,
08:35oh, it's about the heart.
08:36It's about commitment.
08:37But you really have to imagine
08:40the worst scenario
08:41where you're embarrassed because you can't do the move.
08:44You're crying because your body hurts.
08:46But you'll come back.
08:47But you'll come back.
08:48Yes.
08:49You'll do it until you're not perfect.
08:52Yes.
08:53If you don't have the heart for this,
08:55you won't have anything else.
08:56You won't have the passion for it.
08:58You won't have the endurance for it.
09:00And if you think about the money aspect,
09:02of course,
09:03who would want to lose?
09:05But if this is what your heart wants,
09:08you're going to do everything in your power
09:11to push for it.
09:30I'm
09:31I'm
09:32I'm
09:33I'm
09:34I'm
09:35I'm
09:36I'm
09:37I'm
