00:00Well, let me lead off by just saying just this, you know, whether it be any of you,
00:12any on the other side of the aisle, anybody on our side, anybody, there's nobody here
00:20that loves hunting and fishing, our public lands all across this unbelievable country,
00:28you know, there's no one here that worships wildlife habitat more than I, nobody.
00:36And with all that being said, I've got to just put out a plea more than anything.
00:43I want all of us to realize the magnitude of the problem that is right on our doorstep.
00:52That's all there is to it.
00:54Right on our doorstep.
00:56You know, as far as forestry management, I'm all in 100% on and on and on and on and
01:02on.
01:03But the problem that is facing us today, and we better listen to this white haired
01:10guy from West Virginia.
01:12And it's just this, we have an energy problem that is astronomical.
01:19And it's going to be so, so important, and so big, that we best better get at trying
01:28to do something with all in us to address this situation.
01:34Because it's coming not like a freight train.
01:37It's coming like Mr. Danley said to me on the phone.
01:41It's coming like bigger than absolutely the demand of World War Two.
01:49Bigger than any time in our history.
01:52And absolutely, Mr. McGregor and, and Mr. Danley, we appreciate so much, and you're
01:58going to do great.
02:00You're absolutely going to be confirmed.
02:03Absolutely I am all in.
02:05But with that, I would say to everyone, okay, it's time to step up.
02:12What are we going to do?
02:13What are we going to do?
02:15A year and a half from today, absolutely our grid and everything and the demand, we cannot
02:21handle it.
02:22We can't handle it.
02:23I don't care what you say.
02:25You're going to have an electricity meltdown in this country.
02:29And it's coming and you're going to have to make a decision.
02:32America, you're going to have to make this decision.
02:36And this is and this is all there is to it.
02:38We're either going to stick and say, well, we're going to protect our homes.
02:44Or we're going to protect energy and our job opportunities.
02:47What are you going to do?
02:50Because you can't do them both.
02:52There's no way.
02:54There is no way, whether it be that side of the aisle, this side of the aisle, any of
02:58y'all, these nominees, absolutely, if we don't do something now, right now, you talk about
03:07up Duke Creek, and you're there.
03:11You're there, America.
03:12And absolutely, if you don't watch out, what will happen is just this.
03:18We will have to defer to people of the world that are not our allies, but they're our adversaries.
03:25We're going to either have to say, okay, you have the leg up.
03:30You have the leg up, not America.
03:33That's what is going to happen.
03:34And it's going to happen soon.
03:37So all of us, you know, our national labs, we're protecting with all in us.
03:43We do everything we possibly can, but we've got to get at the absolute issue at hand.
03:49And that is just this, we absolutely, there is no way that if we don't get moving and
03:56get moving really quickly, that we're not going to have a colossal problem.
04:00The last thing I'll add is just this.
04:03You know, I'm from little old West Virginia, but little old West Virginia along the way
04:09has gotten it right on energy over and over and over.
04:13And little old West Virginia along the way stepped up when we had to have them really
04:17step up, really, really step up.
04:21You know, whether it be these terrible world wars that we had or whatever it may be, we've
04:26always stepped up, and we do know a lot about what we're talking about about energy.
04:31So I congratulate both of you.
04:33I really don't have a question for either one of you.
04:35Absolutely, I know your testimony is rock solid.
04:38I've talked with both of you.
04:40I absolutely believe in both of you, and I just congratulate you on being here.
04:44And I'd say, for God's sakes 11, let's go, let's go.
04:48We got to do something.
04:50Let's go.
04:51Thank you all for being here.
04:54Thank you, Senator Justice.
04:55I also agree you should always listen to white haired men from West Virginia, especially
05:00this white haired man from West Virginia, because I could have given your same remarks,
05:04just not as eloquently as you did.
