00:00Hi guys, welcome to one of the Paul Bennett Airshows hangars here at the Hunter Valley.
00:15I've been asked quite a bit to explain the aeroplane that I fly behind me, which is the
00:20Zyfco Edge 540.
00:21So I'm just going to give you a little bit of a tour about it and what I like about it.
00:26So this particular Edge 540 was purchased last year by Paul Bennett, come from Hungary.
00:32It's a 1998 model, serial number 20.
00:35Now it's not the latest aerobatic aircraft, but it is one of the highest performing aerobatic
00:39aeroplanes in the world still today.
00:42This particular aeroplane had a full rebuild and only had five hours on it when it got
00:46into Paul's hands.
00:48Looking over this aeroplane, what I like about it most is it's got a Hartzell claw propeller.
00:54We believe Hartzell claws are the best propellers for aerobatic aircraft with this type of engine
00:58combination.
01:00Looking at the engine, it's built by Lycon, our friends at Lycon.
01:03Now this particular engine was the original engine that was in the Wolf Hits Pro, so it's
01:08a 400 horsepower engine.
01:10And overall the aircraft only weighs 520 kilos, so it gives a really great power to weight
01:16ratio.
01:17So another feature I really like about this aeroplane is the wing, it's a full carbon
01:21fibre wing.
