00:00First in our news, Malacanang confirmed the increased support for the needs of Filipinos,
00:06particularly in food, even in increasing the number of investors in the country.
00:10The details in the national news of Clay Zelfardilla of PTV Manila.
00:16The administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. confirmed the continuous distribution of programs
00:23aimed at providing sufficient food to the poorest Filipinos.
00:28In 300,000 households, or equivalent to 1,500,000 individuals,
00:343,000 pesos a month are received for food.
00:39Aside from that, we still have the DSWD program.
00:45This is the No Hunger Project Cuisinero Cook-off Challenge
00:52to improve public nutrition.
00:55And there is also the No Hunger Project that provides eligible families with electronic benefit transfer.
01:02This is 3,000 pesos monthly food credits.
01:07The administration is now studying the report of social weather stations
01:11which said that 27.2% experienced involuntary hunger.
01:20Aside from financial assistance, the Department of Social Welfare and Development also established
01:25the No Hunger Kitchen that provides hot meals to low-income families in Pasay City.
01:33We will study where these so-called hungry Filipinos come from.
01:43And to find out where this place is, and if there is a shortage,
01:49we will be able to address these kinds of situations.
01:53The Department of Agriculture also pushed to increase the production of food.
01:58The agency raised P21 billion for the National Rice Program.
02:04Its goal is to increase the supply of rice while lowering the price.
02:09I do not see that there is shortage of food.
02:12Because we have almost most of everything, especially this March, April, May, and June.
02:18The Department of Trade and Industry helped to monitor and stop the increase in the price of rice.
02:26When we used to increase the price of rice, now it's really gone down to P40 to P45.
02:35Before, it was P58, now it's P58.
02:38So the price of rice has really gone down.
02:41The administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. will continue
02:46the construction of hack banks to encourage businessmen to move to the Philippines.
02:52The 8 More Law, which provides incentives to investors in the Philippines,
02:59also implements tax refunds to foreign tourists to encourage them to visit our country.
03:06And our economy has improved.
03:08We will try our best, the administration will try its best,
03:12to maintain that status or to be better than that,
03:16so that we can encourage more investors to invest in our country.
03:20According to the latest Business Expectation Survey of the Central Bank of the Philippines,
03:26the confidence of businessmen under the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos remains.
03:31From 44.5% in the last quarter of 2025,
03:35the confidence of businessmen in the second quarter of 2025 increased to 45.4%.
03:43This is a reflection of a more prosperous economy
03:46and a 56.4% business outlook for the next 12 months.
03:53It's a good profit.
03:56It's good to see that there is still a lot of confidence in our government,
04:06in our administration, for investors to invest in our country.
04:12It's good news.
04:13From PTV Manila, Kalaisel Pordilia, Balitang Pambansa.
