Sunderland businesswoman Sarah Hume talks us through her new coffee snug in historic East End
Transcript
00:00So Sarah we're down here at the chair in the East End and you've just opened a
00:04new extension to the chair, can you talk us through it?
00:08Yeah of course, so we always wanted the extension to be, so we've got the salon here and then the coffee shop next door, you can get your coffees, your teas, your sweet treats, your savouries, whatever you fancy really, we're going to make it for you.
00:22And you opened at the weekend, what's the response been like?
00:25It's been great, obviously we've seen a lot of familiar faces from the salon, from family, friends, supporters of all of us and them, but yeah it's just lovely to see everyone actually supporting each other and coming down.
00:37And there's a lot of activity at this end of the city centre in Sunnyside and it's all being led by independent businesses, it must be great to be a part of that and reviving the area?
00:49Yeah no it's great and as I say it's great that something is on the up and it is more businesses coming together and there's plenty to share and there's plenty to go around so it's lovely to see.
01:00And the Eagle Buildings is still a bit of a hidden gem isn't it?
01:03Yeah, well it's tucked away but if you know it you know it and it's nice to get it out there again and get more people to know about it and to all come together down here.
