00:00Yes, my dad didn't know that his youngest daughter wanted to be an actress.
00:05So, every project that I do, every scene that I do, I swear that I...
00:10I'm not the same girl that did My Way to Mars, that was 21, now I'm 24, which is not much, right?
00:16But I'm lucky that I always get to work with very successful mothers in fiction.
00:21And they are actresses with great careers, that I really did see their novels, as I told you.
00:27I saw La Dueña, and there was Lucero, who was precisely in El Gallo de Oro, my mom.
00:32There were days when I said, I can't, I can't.
00:36I come from doing a telenovela with Nicandro, where it was a totally different format,
00:42where the acting tone was something else, where my demands were something else.
00:47It hasn't been easy, it has been very hard to be far from my family, to be far from my mom,
00:52not seeing my brother grow up, maybe being alone in such a big city.
00:59I had already had a conversation with Nicandro before he passed away.
01:03And yes, we were talking, we didn't talk specifically about this character,
01:08but he told me, I have my eye on you, now you are on the radar,
01:12don't accept anything for the moment, because the safest thing is that you go, you are my rooster.
01:18That's what he told me, so yes, there were plans, we had already had this approach.
01:24So, obviously, it makes me honor the work a lot more,
01:28the opportunity that Nacho Sada gave me in the end,
01:33who was the producer to whom this story passed into his hands.
01:38This character, since I started reading it, I knew I was going to have too many challenges,
01:44and yes, it goes up and down in his emotions, it has been a roller coaster of emotions.
01:50I think I've spent most of my calls crying, but because the character needed it,
01:56because that was the state of mind and the vulnerability of Perla Contreras,
02:02who is the youngest of the Contreras.
02:03And yes, we touched on a very difficult topic to address,
02:10and above all, with a lot of respect, which is abuse.
02:12Abuse in this sexual case, but there is abuse of violence, there is psychological abuse,
02:18which you can also be seeing throughout the story in the character of Perla.
02:22But I love that it is not only left to tell what abuse is, but everything that entails.
02:29All the sequels, the consequences, but also all that inspiration and all that part of getting ahead.
02:37All that resilience that the character shows.
02:39The actors work with energy and that energy stays.
02:42And yes, it is important to let go.
02:44What I did personally was that if I marked my mom, if I marked my close people, my partner,
02:53if I knew that maybe I still felt a little bit like with that energy,
02:57well, I tried to level it with things that give me,
03:02as an actress, they give me happiness, they give me motivation, they give me joy.
03:06So that, always having a network of support, and also being able to cut.
03:13When the scene ends, being able to hug your partner and being able to say thank you
03:18for being here with me in fiction and telling this story, that.
03:22And there you can let go a little bit, because if you don't do it,
03:26I think it happens that you can interpret it as your reality.
03:30And in reality, the basis of the performance is to have a good time and play.
03:35So, well, within those scenes where I cry and cry and cry,
03:39I promise you that I was having a great time and I was having a lot of fun.
03:44Really, just as it is such a subject, so within reach and so real,
03:51obviously it seemed to me very important to prepare myself,
03:55both with my directors, me as an actress.
03:57Now, yes, to nourish myself with any information regarding the subject.
04:01Unfortunately, I couldn't talk to anyone who was abused.
04:06I think I wanted to approach it more on the side of listening to podcasts,
04:10of listening to testimonials, but on the side of leaving it at home,
04:15of me putting on, maybe, I don't know, I was washing clothes and I put on a podcast.
04:20Or maybe I was driving and I was listening to a podcast of a testimony.
04:25So, yes, it helped me a lot to understand the relationship
04:28that exists between abused and abusive, or abused and abusive.
04:33Now, yes, there are no genres in this type of situation,
04:36but yes, it helped me a lot to listen to the stories that are out there.
04:42With my directors, they gave me too much guidance and too much north
04:47of where we were going to approach the character,
04:50because you can become a character, maybe a little,
04:56I don't want to say without nuances, but yes,
05:00as if you are only in the victim's line and you go beyond being just a victim.
05:05Because there is a sequel with your body, with your mind, with your emotions,
05:09with your way of relating to other people,
05:12with your way of facing life, of facing life.
05:17So, yes, we did want to address all that.
05:20I had many workshops with my directors, many talks.
05:23Also with my stage partner, who was Martin Rojas,
05:27I also had a lot of rapprochement with him.
05:30We even choreographed all the movements that are seen on stage,
05:35which are actually very well done and very well directed scenes.
05:40Everything is a choreography.
05:41So, with my partner, yes.
05:43Maybe, I think on some 4 or 5 occasions, after the workshop,
05:47after reading our scenes and everything,
05:50we would go to a room right there in Televisa, in CEA,
05:54and we would start choreographing.
05:56So, yes, the movements, the reactions, everything,
06:01so that everything was very well taken care of.
06:03And yes, I wanted to inform myself as much as possible on the subject,
06:09because I know it's a subject that has been written to me.
06:13Even when those strong episodes came out,
06:16which were, I think, two weeks ago,
06:19they wrote to me and I received many messages
06:21about men and women in that situation,
06:24who have gone through those kinds of circumstances.
06:28So, I already knew this was going to happen,
06:32so I did want to address it in a way with a lot of respect
06:35and, above all, with a lot of fragility.
06:38Because that's how the story goes.
06:41But I hope I did a good job and people...
06:47Now, I found a hope or maybe a story.
06:54Always listening to something you've already lived through
06:57and listening to it from another person,
06:59maybe makes you more empathetic.
07:01Also, this is fair for people who have already lived something like this,
07:05but also for people who may not have the kind of empathy
07:09that is needed when these issues are addressed.
07:13Then it happens that you can feel a little...
07:16Well, yes, it intimidates you a little,
07:18the fact of being the youngest daughter and being the...
07:23Well, yes, now yes,
07:25the one who may have less years of trajectory in the stellar family.
07:29So, but no, I think they always sheltered me very well
07:32and Ana is really very professional in what she does.
07:35She knows, she notices the years of experience
07:38because it's really something she proposes,
07:40it's something that has a meaning and a logic
07:43and it works to favor the scene.
07:48So, yes, it was always a joy to work with her
07:53and besides, I always said it,
07:55that every call was like a kind of performance with her.
07:58And just like that, I came to my house and I said,
08:00how does she do it? How does she do it?
08:03And of course, you need many years of experience,
08:06but you also realize that you have to be very persistent
08:13because if she has something...
08:15She just told me that it wasn't easy,
08:19everything really has had its ups and downs,
08:21but it has always been unbreakable.
08:25Her calls always come with everything studied,
08:30with proposals, logical proposals.
08:32And well, for me personally,
08:34I can tell you that I felt good working with her.
08:38It was incredible.
08:40She is an excellent actress, she is a super cute person.
08:43Besides, she herself gives a lot of tenderness as a person.
08:47So, well, it was very enjoyable to work with her
08:52and above all, yes, every call was a kind of performance.
09:00When I knew I was going to be on schedule at 9.30am,
09:03knowing that they were going to be able to see me
09:05at 8.30am as Perla and at 9.30am as Pinzona,
09:08it really made me value my work a lot more,
09:12because that rarely happens,
09:14to have that opportunity to be linked in two projects.
09:17And yes, I enjoyed it a lot too.
09:20I am lucky that my mothers in fiction always touch me,
09:24very successful,
09:26and they are actresses with great careers
09:29that I really did see in their novels.
09:31As I told you, I saw La Dueña
09:33and there was Lucero,
09:35who precisely in El Gallo de Oro is my mother.
09:37So yes, it was a joy to work with her.
09:40I didn't share so much with her
09:42because actually my character didn't record
09:45both seasons,
09:47I only recorded in the final.
09:49Which means that I recorded
09:51around two months, two and a half months,
09:53and they, I mean, all the cast,
09:55the one who did participate in the first and second season,
09:58already had around four or five months of filming.
10:01But those two months,
10:03I really took advantage of it and enjoyed it a lot.
10:06We were recording in Hidalgo.
10:08I remember that my first approach with Lucero
10:10was in San Luis Potosí,
10:12where they went to do the...
10:14Well, I went to do the look change for Pinzona,
10:16they cut my hair,
10:18they did my image design,
10:20and that's where I met Jose Ron and Lucero.
10:23And really, I always say it,
10:25it has been one of the great experiences of my life
10:27because, apart from that, it's a series.
10:29It's a series for VIXX.
10:31So, being able to make movies
10:33as an actress was super challenging,
10:35I'm not going to deny that.
10:37There were days where I said,
10:39I can't, I can't.
10:41I've just done a telenovela with Nicandro
10:43where it was a totally different format,
10:45where the acting tone was something else,
10:48where my demands were different,
10:50because, apart from that,
10:52this story is a time story
10:54where it tells the life of La Caponera,
10:56which is played by Lucero in the 50s.
10:58And yes, all of that was a huge challenge,
11:02but the result is totally worth it.
11:06I'm still watching it now that it's being broadcast.
11:08I'm watching it,
11:10and I feel so proud
11:12to have been part of that project.
11:14The other day I also had the opportunity
11:16to greet the producer, Carlos Bardasano,
11:18and I reiterated to him
11:20that I'm so excited
11:22that people who didn't see it for VIXX
11:24will see it for the first time
11:26on Las Estrellas' channel.
11:28And they're also very happy
11:30with the numbers that El Gallo de Oro
11:32has left in its new broadcast.
11:34And yes,
11:36with Lucero, I admire her for everything.
11:39She really is one of those actresses
11:41that I would like to work with every day.
11:43Besides, she's a super good person,
11:45very light-hearted,
11:47and there you realize
11:49how you can build a career
11:51that lasts so many years
11:53even though you're not on screen.
11:55People will keep remembering you
11:57and keep asking for you,
11:59which I think is the case with Lucero,
12:01that people adore her,
12:03and she has a reason
12:05because she's a great human being.
12:07And with José Ron,
12:09who did a spectacular job,
12:11I always tell him.
12:13I always knew I wanted to be in front of the cameras,
12:15but I never knew I wanted to be an actress.
12:17The opportunity to be an actress
12:19came when I joined CEA.
12:22But I had a conversation with my director,
12:25and he told me,
12:27hey, you're too young.
12:29I joined when I was 17,
12:31and the acting career lasts three years.
12:33So he told me,
12:35I recommend you do your acting career,
12:37and that way you have a base.
12:39Yes, look, there's my picture
12:41when I came back in the middle of the pandemic,
12:43by the way.
12:45But yes, no,
12:47the acting came later.
12:49I really liked being a director
12:51because it was what I grew up watching.
12:53I mean, I never had an approach
12:55to theater,
12:57to novels, yes,
12:59but I clearly saw it very far away
13:01and almost impossible.
13:03So when I arrived in Mexico City,
13:05I prepared myself as an actress
13:07and my first opportunities began.
13:09I think that was when I said,
13:11I can make a living out of this,
13:13yes, I can make a living out of this,
13:15and besides, I'm good,
13:17and they give me opportunities,
13:19and I started to believe it.
13:21The truth.
13:23I think I still didn't know
13:25where I wanted to go,
13:27but I always knew
13:29that I wanted to be in front of a camera
13:31and, above all,
13:33tell stories that
13:35would make a difference
13:37and that would have a heart
13:39and also demand,
13:41because I'm very demanding with myself
13:43and more with my work.
13:45I knew that I wanted to tell
13:47well-made, well-told stories
13:49and that they were like
13:51endearing characters,
13:53and thanks to God and the universe,
13:55I have had characters
13:57that people remember me
13:59for those characters
14:01and above all, that they have lived
14:03and that they always have a message behind.
14:05So that makes me very happy.
14:07I see that photo and I swear
14:09that I can see my smile
14:11and I can see the smile of Moni
14:13that was so genuine
14:15because we had so much fun
14:17during the recordings.
14:19I always tell Carla,
14:21I really can't believe
14:23that they paid us to work
14:25and to have such a good time.
14:27And I think that project,
14:29being the first one,
14:31will always occupy
14:33a very important place
14:35in my heart.
14:37It taught me how to work,
14:39it taught me the style of television,
14:41it taught me how to be a good character,
14:43it taught me how to be a partner,
14:45how to always be for your partners
14:47on stage and also off stage.
14:49Something that happened to us
14:51on my way to Marte
14:53is that we all connected very well
14:55inside and outside the set.
14:57So I can tell you that I met
14:59two of my best friends,
15:01Carla and Ara.
15:03And apart from that,
15:05the audience,
15:07right now I think we are in Brazil,
15:09the audience loved that story
15:11because it's a very good story.
15:13And I remember that
15:15it's one of those stories
15:17that as soon as the episodes came out,
15:19I remember that I would call Carla
15:21or Ara
15:23to tell them,
15:25hey, did you read what happens with your character?
15:27Because apart from that, it's another one.
15:29Then, when you are in novels,
15:31for a while, you only get to read your story
15:33and maybe you lose a bit of the essence
15:35of the story,
15:37of the story of all the characters.
15:39But in this one, like really,
15:41all the characters had a great story.
15:43I remember that we all gossiped
15:45among ourselves
15:47about the spoilers and what was going to happen
15:49and everyone gave their opinion.
15:51And I tell you, we connected very well
15:53both on a personal level
15:55and I think that definitely
15:57my way to Marte has also been the starting point
15:59of my career and it opened doors
16:01for where I am today
16:03and for what is going to come later.
16:05I will always be very grateful
16:07to Icandro and Toño Arbizu
16:09for giving me that yes
16:11and for believing in me
16:13because, of course, I didn't have any experience.
16:15So, trusting someone
16:17and giving them such an important role
16:19when you don't know if it's going to be good
16:21or bad, they simply
16:23trusted how I did the casting
16:25and my way of being
16:27and what I had to give at that moment
16:29and forever, forever
16:31I will be very grateful to them.
16:33Sometimes it happens Moises
16:35that you don't realize
16:37where you are right now
16:39until people remind you
16:41or until you yourself recount
16:43everything you have lived.
16:45I can tell you that it has not been easy
16:47that it has been very hard to be far from my family
16:49to be far from my mom
16:51not seeing my brother grow up
16:53maybe being alone
16:55in such a big city
16:57because I am from Guadalajara, Jalisco
16:59and I am so familiar
17:01the fact of not being with them
17:03but at the same time
17:05sharing this dream with them
17:07because I know they see all my projects
17:09my mom has been in all my premieres
17:11my sister always sends me messages
17:13I can tell you that
17:15if you have
17:17a network of support
17:19and if you have your family
17:21it doesn't matter if it's not your family
17:23your people who genuinely love you
17:25and above all
17:27always landing again
17:29at your center
17:31I think you can do it
17:33you can do it
17:35and obviously with a lot of discipline
17:37and with a lot of faith
17:39I am a woman of a lot of faith
17:41and I do ask the universe
17:43and I do ask God
17:45and I do work for my dreams
17:47so yes, dreams do come true
17:49and you have to know how to take advantage of that opportunity
17:51when it comes to you
17:53I can tell you that with Gaby, Eva, Ana Martin
17:55I took advantage of every second
17:57with them to learn
17:59and at the same time
18:01that I was learning
18:03I put it into practice
18:05and therefore I felt great on stage
18:07thanks to them
18:09also and thanks to
18:11that we were there, united, connected
18:13and of course dreams do come true
18:15you just have to be very patient
18:17and you really have to want it
18:19because it won't be easy
18:21so if you expect it to be easy
18:23maybe you will give up on the way
18:25but it really is like that
18:27and also, if something is for you
18:29this was for me
18:31so
18:33letting life
18:35surprise you
18:37and let God put things in their place
18:39with your work
18:41I think
18:43is the most important
18:45where do they get these pictures from?
18:49yes, my dad didn't get to
18:51know that his younger daughter
18:53wanted to be an actress
18:55so every project
18:57I do, every scene I do
18:59I swear
19:01I always brush my teeth before entering the set
19:03because the set is a very sacred place for me
19:07I dedicate it to him
19:09and it is to honor him in every step
19:11in every step I am taking
19:13and I also know that from above
19:15he sends me many good things
19:17and he sends me many opportunities
19:19so he is always there
19:21listening to me
19:23and I feel it all the time
19:27but that, to honor him
19:29because since he is no longer there
19:33everything
19:35is to his memory
19:37and to how he would have loved it
19:39and always preserving
19:41his sense of humor
19:43I think that's what life is about
19:45to transcend and honor
19:47so that they always live
19:49the truth is
19:51I am very excited about what is coming
19:53and I would love for new challenges to come
19:55new characters
19:57as I told you before
19:59that they are characters with a lot of heart
20:01characters that challenge me
20:03that they are human
20:07I have done very different things
20:09but I have been on this line
20:11of being
20:13maybe the good one
20:15or the one who goes through this type of thing
20:17of life
20:19I think I would also love to play a villain
20:21to be able to explore that other part
20:23but I would also love to continue
20:25exploring this part
20:27of having characters
20:29that are sensitive
20:31human, creative
20:33genuine, kind
20:35I think all those
20:37qualities
20:39I always admire them in any human being
20:41and being able to interpret them
20:43in a story
20:45all the shine
20:47those characters that give shine to the story
20:49are the ones that will always interest me
20:51and I would love
20:53to do theater, cinema, television
20:55keep driving
20:57I would love to do everything
20:59the truth is that right now
21:01I don't want to close any doors
21:03and I would love
21:05to be able to open all the doors
21:07and now what life has planned
21:09for me
21:11I have already experienced what it is to record a series
21:13I would love to record another
21:15I am very grateful
21:17obviously with Televisa
21:19which is the company
21:21that has trusted me
21:23and in which I arrived at the age of 16
21:25to study and which has
21:27bet on me
21:29and well I would love to stay there
21:31and keep discovering
21:33these new characters because of course
21:35one is growing up, I am no longer the same girl
21:37who did My Way to Mars, who was 21
21:39now I am 24, which is not so much
21:41but
21:43I think that as you live

21:49which you can also use
21:51for your characters
21:53so I would also love
21:55to keep living and keep nourishing myself
21:57with many things to implement it
