00:00EVIDENZIARE E MONITORARE NEL TEMPO IL LIVELLO DI CONSAPEVOLEZZA DEI RISCHI CYBER ALL'INTERNO DELLE AZIENDI ITALIANE DI PICCOLE E MEDIE DIMENSIONI E LE MODALITÀ DI APPROCCIO ADOTTATE DALLE STESSE PER LA GESTIONE DI TALI RISCHI.
00:17This is the intention of Cyber Index PMI, made by Generali e Confindustria with the scientific support of the Cyber Security and Data Protection Observatory of the School of Management of the Politecnico di Milano and with the participation of the Agency for National Cyber Security.
00:32Reached the second edition, the Cyber Index highlights an improvement of the awareness and the ability of operational management of the cyber threat, where the human factor is central but also appears as a critical factor.
00:44For the human factor we mean, on the one hand, the presence of organizational specialization skills within the small and medium-sized enterprise and also the presence of a mindset, a widespread mentality within small and medium-sized enterprises that have a central point in computer security.
01:03We are in a context that is becoming more and more complex. Digitalization, artificial intelligence and AI can further increase the gap between offensive and defensive capabilities of our small and medium-sized enterprises.
01:20And initiatives like these have the ambition to be really useful, very concretely, to stay close to enterprises to increase awareness and adoption of effective protection practices, also in the insurance sector.
01:37The research also highlights a still deficient situation, both in terms of awareness and prevention, as well as in terms of effective protection from risks.
01:46Our role is to promote, first of all, culture, culture of risk, in this case related to cyber security, and also to do cyber security, because Generale is a large company that deals with these problems every day.
02:00And then our central role is to be insurers of these risks, through solutions that are increasingly close to the actual needs of our customers, in particular small and medium-sized enterprises, which often do not have particularly developed and structured risk management structures and are particularly exposed to this type of risk.
02:24In this context, it is important that all the fabric of small and medium-sized enterprises strengthens their IT security, an inescapable effort, as it continues the advancement of cyber threat and the number of attacks is increasing.
02:39Enterprises that are hit by a devastating round-the-clock attack, as has already happened, can be deleted from the Italian production scene.
02:51An attack of such violence can effectively be deleted from the Italian production scene, that is, it can mean the economic collapse of this operator.
03:03Therefore, it is clear that it is necessary, and I have the pleasure of participating from the institutional side in an initiative that also involves generals, to raise the issue of risks to be covered by insurance policies that can guarantee the operator a certain coverage of this risk, which is becoming more incumbent and becoming more and more pervasive.
