00:03The Gators are six and a half point favorites.
00:07Both teams played right down to the wire in the last game.
00:10So that's why this line is a little perplexing to me.
00:12Now, I'll give you my opinion,
00:13and I want you to give me yours here,
00:15is that I think had the Gators played better against UConn,
00:21that this line would be nine and a half or 10.
00:23That's my opinion.
00:24Nobody really expected Maryland to win the game
00:27that they're going to play tonight.
00:28A lot of people thought they would get to this point.
00:30So does that mean that you're getting any value here
00:34by taking Florida at this low spread?
00:36Because if something happens tonight, Mike,
00:38and they crush Maryland, which is what I'm rooting for,
00:41they're going to be just as big or if not even
00:43a bigger favorite in the next round.
00:45Yeah, I think that this is the game for Florida
00:47to get to the final four, to be honest with you.
00:50I've looked at this Maryland game,
00:51and I thought all along that if Maryland,
00:54just the geography's bad, right?
00:57Purdue gets to go to Indianapolis
00:59because they are closer to Indianapolis.
01:02But in that region are two teams
01:05that I think Maryland would do well against,
01:07Houston and Tennessee.
01:10But I don't think they're very well matched against Florida.
01:13And I really don't like the fact
01:15that Maryland didn't play well last round.
01:17The one saving factor for the Terps
01:20is the fact that Florida also played poorly.
01:22And so what has to happen for this to go well for Maryland
01:27is first of all, Maryland has to remember
01:30that they have a front court.
01:31They never forgot it much during the regular season,
01:34but against Colorado State, they completely abandoned it.
01:37Derrick Queen, who is, in my opinion,
01:40the second best American prospect in this draft,
01:44or third at worst behind Rutgers' terrific guard.
01:49But I really like Derrick Queen,
01:52and he was matched against a 6-3 guard
01:56for most of the stretch run against Colorado State,
01:59and Maryland never threw him the ball until that final trip.
02:02And the player, Ethan Morton, that was guarding him,
02:05yep, same guy, so why didn't you go to that earlier?
02:08That bothers me about Maryland tonight.
02:10I think Florida comes back with a better effort tonight,
02:13and I do think that you've got a point about value.
02:17I think that Maryland, with all the commotion
02:20around their program about whether Kevin Willard will stay
02:24is not a good deal for the Terps as well.
02:26So for me, I think you're absolutely right.
