00:00Without objection, the gentleman is recognized for one minute.
00:05Thank you, Mr. Speaker.
00:07We must use budget reconciliation to fully repeal the so-called Inflation Reduction Act,
00:12IRA, the green subsidies within that.
00:15They're a trillion-dollar disaster, driving up energy costs, undermining grid reliability,
00:20and forcing out dependable power sources like coal, natural gas, as well as the hydroelectric
00:24dam destruction we see happening.
00:27Even one of them threatens real spending reductions and makes it nearly impossible to rein in
00:32the national deficit of around $2 trillion brought on by the Biden administration and
00:37Democrat majorities in the House and Senate.
00:40The stakes are very clear.
00:41Europe's energy crisis shows what happens when a country relies too much on unreliable
00:46renewables.
00:47Meanwhile, China profits off of our bad policies, selling us solar panels and electric vehicles
00:53while expanding its own coal production and its power plants.
00:57We cannot let the left's green welfare agenda weaken our energy security while boosting
01:02our biggest adversary any longer.
01:05Full repeal means saving taxpayers $1 trillion in wasteful spending, easing inflation and
01:11lowering costs for families and small businesses, and restoring energy reliably and security
01:18by stabilizing our grid.
01:20Reconciliation is the path forward.
01:21I yield back.
