00:00How do you think the world is looking at the United States right now?
00:04I think the world is looking at us as a leader in COVID-19.
00:08I spoke with many of the leaders over the last four or five days.
00:12And so many of them, almost all of them, I would say all of them,
00:15not everybody would want to admit it, but they all view us as the world leader.
00:20And they're following us.
00:30How do you think the world is looking at the United States right now?
00:37How do you think the world is looking at the United States right now?
00:39We've been working very closely with the Americans
00:42to highlight what Canadians know very, very well,
00:45that the level of integration between our economies goes both ways across the border.
00:50There is much trade that goes back and forth in essential services,
00:55and it could end up hurting Americans as much as it hurts anybody else.
00:59How do you think the world is looking at the United States right now?
01:03Time is now.
01:07How do you think the world is looking at the United States right now?
01:11Bring your budget to the United States.
01:13Find out the state of the United States.
01:17USA's COVID response in the United States.
01:19They were seized in the United States.
01:24Paid for, but seized.
01:26trying to see exactly how that is going to, what is going to transpire.
01:30Ventilators are the most in-demand item in the world today.
01:34And Barbados is merely wrestling with the other 203 countries
01:39and territories around the globe, also seeking to secure
01:43as much of this piece of equipment as possible.
01:51But to think that now we're giving thousands of ventilators
01:55to other countries, allies and other than allies, to be honest.
01:58But we're helping other countries where people are dying
02:02because we have ventilators and nobody else does to this extent.
02:09We are making great progress on therapeutics and vaccines.
02:13I think you're going to have a big surprise, a beautiful surprise
02:16sooner than anybody would think.
02:25Global solidarity is important, and not just for this drug,
02:54but also for other drugs and for vaccines
02:57that are likely to be developed over the coming months.
03:00This is a test, I think, for for all of humanity.
03:20The World Health Organization has been very disappointing
03:23to the world. They've been disappointing.
03:26And we, as you know, paid 450 million dollars
03:30and close to 500 million dollars on some years.
03:33But for years and years, we paid far more than anybody else.
03:53The U.S. has the highest number of cases of covid in the world.
04:00Do you still believe the U.S. is a world leader on the pandemic?
04:03Of course, the U.S. remains the world leader in the pandemic.
04:08It almost goes without saying.
