00:00Carney is currently unelected, we just spoke a little bit there, taking over
00:04from Justin Trudeau of course. Can he win this election and capitalise on the
00:10Liberal Party's success in the last few months? You sort of said there that's
00:15where things could be a little bit difficult because he's 60, he's not a
00:19career politician, this is his first sort of hurrah into it. I would say yes and
00:24the reason is because 18 months ago there's no way that a Liberal leader
00:29would be re-elected but the last few months there's been a shift and the
00:38public is not so enthralled with Justin Trudeau, he's been in power, he had
00:42been in power almost 10 years and what happened is you had Trump come to power,
00:47you had Justin Trudeau stepping down and you had Mark Carney winning the Liberal
00:52leadership race and that perfect storm created a moment I think that someone
01:00like Mark Carney with his experience as Governor of Bank of England and Governor
01:05of Bank of Canada, I think he's perfectly positioned to capitalise on something
01:11that the other traditional politicians would not be able to capitalise on.
