00:00We know that digital communication channels have a great potential, but they also hide
00:12many insides.
00:13In recent days, results of a study were published, a study promoted and carried out by the Otoniolo
00:22Institute and the Catholic University, which says, for example, that a boy out of three,
00:26a teenager for the most part, puts a like to fake content, to fake news, and this
00:34you understand well what considerations and what conclusions it can lead to in the long run.
00:39So we need to educate also from this point of view, obviously not only young people,
00:44because even adults often have this problem.
00:48Then, alas, always from an educational point of view, you reach the tremendous and dramatic
00:56level, as it is also pointed out in recent days by some facts of Chronicle, that is,
01:01they put such a strong pressure that sometimes, unfortunately, some boys and girls commit
01:10suicide, as we have seen in recent days.
01:13So, first point, digital communication, we know it can be an effective tool, but we
01:19have to educate to use it.
01:22Digital communication is also a great opportunity for everyone, but also for third sector entities,
01:27that is, those that operate and collaborate with the Cariplo Foundation.
01:31I remember that the Cariplo Foundation supports more than 1,300 projects a year.
01:36Very often these entities, these associations, foundations, have beautiful stories that they
01:42do not know and we do not know how to tell.
01:44So participating in this festival with Francesco Giano is also an opportunity to learn, to
01:51make better digital communication.
01:53For example, in recent days we launched a beautiful communication campaign promoted
01:59by CoreDown, which aims to launch a message on disability.
02:05It was done so well, and so we are talking about digital communication, because it is
02:11a beautiful campaign that has reached millions of people in a short time.
02:16So we need to tell certain topics in the most modern and effective way possible.
02:24Digital communication, digital journalism, is also a way, in addition to informing,
02:30to engage people.
02:32We have recently launched an initiative that addresses young people who do not study
02:37and do not work, they are called NEET.
02:40There are 1,400,000 in Italy, there are 57,000 in the Lombardy region.
02:45Cariplo Foundation and other partners would like to take care of at least 20,000 of these
02:50young people.
02:51We will implement all possible methods, also of communication related to the digital,
02:57to reach them and say, if you are a boy who is in these conditions, if you are in
03:03trouble, look, there is an opportunity for you.
03:06So digital communication is a tool that we must learn to manage well.
