00:00What's happening here is that U.S. citizens are exercising their free speech in a peaceful
00:26way to protest what's happening with Elon Musk and Donald Trump and the undermining
00:31of our democracy, the cutting of services, the cutting of foreign aid, the cutting of
00:35free speech, the threatening of judges, and all the things that are happening that are
00:41undermining democracy in our place in the world.
00:45We are protesting this authoritarian regime with joy.
00:51One of the things that authoritarians like to do is to squash dissent.
00:56They like to put in salt and still fear.
00:59And we have no fear because we are free, we are Americans, we have our First Amendment
01:03rights, and we are just coming out with joy and showing other people that they're not
01:10alone.
01:11Elon Musk has given us a gift of almost 300 locations all over the country that we can
01:15show up on a Saturday morning and protest.
01:18It's as simple as that.
01:19It's a very simple, grassroots, peaceful, organic movement.
01:25And we don't have to get a permit because we're on our public sidewalks and we don't
01:31have to do a lot of planning for people to show up.
