NewsTranscript
00:00You have been watching President Trump taking questions in the Oval Office.
00:03He covered a wide range of topics, but there was some big breaking news out of this.
00:08Last night, about the 9 p.m. hour, a New York Times story broke.
00:11The headline was, Pentagon set up briefing for Musk on potential war with China.
00:17Now, notably, this New York Times story had more reporters than sources.
00:22There were five reporters.
00:23There were two officials confirming the details of that report, unnamed officials.
00:28President Trump denied the report at 11.20 p.m.
00:31What was interesting right now is you heard President Trump not just deny the report,
00:37but explain that Elon Musk would never be given access to war plans with China because
00:42he's a businessman.
00:43Why would he ever do that?
00:44He even went so far as to mention a conflict of interest.
00:47Elon Musk has business deals in China.
00:49Why would I give him this information, though he did praise Elon Musk broadly in his portfolio.
00:54Big news out of this.
00:55We will let you in on all of it.
00:57This is Outnumbered.
00:59I'm Kayleigh McEnany here with my co-host Emily Campagno and Harris Faulkner.
01:01Also joining us, Lisa Booth, Fox News political analyst.
01:04Guy Benson, Fox News contributor and host of The Guy Benson Show on Fox News Radio.
01:09Guy, you and I were speaking.
01:11The most interesting part of this to me, and you and I agreed on this, was you didn't have
01:16a reporter say to him, hey, Elon Musk has a conflict of interest here.
01:20He acknowledged it himself and explained how seriously he takes this information.
01:25Let's listen to that moment.
01:26I certainly wouldn't want, you know, Elon has businesses in China and he would be susceptible
01:32perhaps to that.
01:34But it was such a fake story.
01:35The New York Times is just as fake as CNN and MSDNC.
01:40And anybody read that story.
01:42People laughed at that story.
01:44Who would do such a thing?
01:45And the first thing I did is I called Susie and I called Pete and said, is there any truth
01:51to that?
01:52And they said, it's ridiculous.
01:53No, he's over there to talk about cost.
01:56You might want to address that.
01:57But Elon was over there today to address cost.
02:02Doge, they called Doge, which you've heard about.
02:05Guy, they had five reporters.
02:07They had two officials confirming the details for confirming more broadly that Elon would
02:11be at the Pentagon.
02:13That was a fierce denial.
02:14That was a categorical denial of the story.
02:18And my ears perked up as yours did.
02:21He was not asked about a conflict of interest.
02:24He raised that himself unsolicited.
02:26He understood the reason why someone would object to this.
02:30And he agreed with it.
02:31He said, that's why we're not doing it.
02:33So it wasn't just like, oh, fake news.
02:34Move on.
02:35It was fake news for these reasons.
02:37We would never allow it specifically because of some of these concerns.
02:40And therefore, the story is false.
02:42We would never even consider something like that.
02:45You worked in the press office.
02:46You know what a really strenuous denial looks like.
02:49That was it.
02:50Yeah.
02:51I was on the air at 11 20 p.m. last night.
02:52It's like I could see the balloon of the liberal media just pop in the air, just fizzle out
02:56as he gave that denial.
02:58You know, Harris, he also took on the judge.
03:01And I think the way he framed this is something a lot of Americans who just voted in an election
03:05in November will understand.
03:07Listen, this is about the judge in that plane with Trendy Aragua alleged gang members on
03:11it.
03:12If ISIS or Al Qaeda or terrorists were operating here in the United States, cops would probably
03:19be shooting first and asking questions later.
03:23And so what is the difference between terrorists, between somebody like an ISIS or an Al Qaeda
03:29operative versus MS-13 or Trendy Aragua?
03:32Well, these are people that focus on destroying people in their homes.
03:37They're not as international in that sense.
03:42Their group of thugs, they come from Venezuela.
03:44They come from the prisons of Venezuela.
03:47They're tough people.
03:48They're bad people.
03:49We can't let that happen in our country.
03:50We can't let a judge say that he wants to get it.
03:52He didn't run for president.
03:53He didn't get much more than 80 million votes.
03:58And we just can't let that happen.
03:59It'd be so bad for our country.
04:01Yeah.
04:02You know, what was so interesting about that entire section to me, Kayleigh, is that he
04:05won on that issue.
04:06And he said that today.
04:07He said the American people expect me to be doing this sort of thing because that's what
04:11I promised.
04:12And that's what needs to be done to protect them.
04:13And that obviously is his first job as commander in chief.
04:17So he took the judge on on the merits of the case.
04:21He didn't make it personal, which it could be because it certainly feels personal, personal
04:26from the other direction as he goes after and joins the litany of people going after
04:31the president from the left.
04:32It wasn't about that.
04:33This was this is what they hired me to do.
04:36And I'm going to do what the American public hired me to do with millions and millions
04:39and millions of votes.
04:40It's on display right now.
04:42And Andy Biggs, congressman from Arizona, also on the Judiciary House committee there,
04:47explained to me today that the problem for this judge is that he actually doesn't have
04:52a position that gives him a lifetime job.
04:57He can be removed if he has bad behavior, if he steps out of line, if it looks like
05:01he's trying to thwart a sitting president or whatever it would be deemed to be.
05:06I thought that was really interesting.
05:08Now, there are some reports that Boasberg may be getting a raise in terms of elevation
05:12of position.
05:13We'll watch for that today.
05:14Yeah.
05:15One hundred sixty seven federal judges, one elected president of the United States.
05:20But these judges have an immense amount of power over what the president is doing on
05:24a day to day basis.
05:25Lisa, he also addressed these Tesla attacks that we've seen that are widespread and remarkably
05:29consistent in the way that they're performed.
05:32Listen to what he said.
05:34I view these people as terrorists, just like others.
05:38When I looked at those showrooms burning and those cars, not one or two, like seven, eight,
05:4410 burning, exploding all over the place.
05:47These are terrorists.
05:48Look at what's going on now with these terrorists.
05:50He's a terrorist.
05:51So that's an organized event.
05:52You know, take a look at their signs.
05:53Take a look.
05:54They're all made by the same sign company, a nice, expensive job.
05:59Now, these are the people that finance it are, in my opinion, in just as big a trouble
06:04as the people that are setting the match and setting the fires.
06:08So we'll see.
06:09It's under very serious investigation by the FBI and by the Justice Department.
06:14These people are terrorists.
06:16It seems like he's indicating their cash Patel Pambani may be looking to see if there's any
06:20sort of organization around this.
06:23Well, yeah.
06:24And they're also making an example out of three different individuals, which I think
06:27will help to send that message that we are treating this as domestic terrorism.
06:30I love these media availabilities in these press conferences.
06:33One, it's a little bit like a choose your own adventure novel.
06:36You know, do we talk about Ukraine?
06:37Do we talk about China?
06:38Do we talk about Doge?
06:39You know, which issue do we talk about?
06:40Because he's doing so much.
06:42This is an administration on steroids.
06:44You can tell the guy doesn't sleep.
06:46And so that's why it's so important for him to do these things, to do these availabilities,
06:50to take a beat like he did with the joint session to Congress as well and say, hey,
06:54look, this is what I'm doing for you.
06:56Here's how I'm delivering.
06:57This is why it's important.
06:58And to inform the American people.
06:59And this is the most transparent president or at least one of them we've ever had.
07:03You look at his first month alone, he took over 1000 questions from reporters at seven
07:08times as much as Joe Biden did during that same period of time.
07:12You know, so for good for him for being so transparent with the American people and speaking
07:16directly to them.
07:17It also helps them circumvent the biased media as well.
07:20You know, the motto of my press shop when I was there was offense only.
07:24And I'd like to think that that's a phrase that I adopted from the style of my boss and
07:28my boss was President Trump.
07:29And he knows how to go on offense better than anyone.
07:32I want to play an example of that.
07:33A reporter asked him, do you have the authority to deport?
07:37And watch how he turns this around about Joe Biden's authority to let in eight million
07:42illegal immigrants.
07:43Mr. President, do you think you have the authority, the power to round up people, deport them,
07:50and then you're under no obligation to a court to show the evidence against them?
07:54Well, that's what the law says.
07:55And that's what our country needs, because we were, unfortunately, they allowed millions
08:01of people to come into our country, totally unvetted, totally unchecked.
08:04So you're asked, do he have the authority to allow millions of people?
08:07Did Biden have the authority to do something that's unthinkable, have open borders where
08:13millions of people poured into our country, totally unvetted and totally unchecked, just
08:17as you would say.
08:19And many of those people were criminals.
08:21Many of them were from jails and prisons and mental institutions and gang members and
08:26drug dealers and very dangerous people.
08:29Many were murderers.
08:30When you ask me if we have the authority, did Biden have the authority to allow millions
08:35of people to come into our country?
08:36Many of these people, hardened criminals at the top of the line who have caused tremendous
08:42damage in our country.
08:46It would seem Biden's authority would be in contravention of the Immigration and Nationality
08:53Act, but who cares about details?
08:54Emily, this all began and you were very passionate about this with a new fighter jet, the F-47.
08:59You wanted to expound upon it.
09:00Yeah, I'm I'm so excited by this.
09:03And keep in mind that just three days ago, China reportedly took a second test flight
09:08of their sixth generation fighter jet.
09:10Now, allegedly, that's called the J-36.
09:12They've been operating a fifth generation so far.
09:15That's the J-20, if I remember correctly.
09:16That's radar evading.
09:18And these photos of this new sixth generation fighter jet on their part, it sort of looks
09:21like a mix between the B-2 bomber and the F-117A, which is our stealth fighter.
09:25So basically like a black triangle, like a bat.
09:28And so that's something that when you couple with the secretary, the secretary of defense's
09:32remarks today where he said, look, under the prior administration, this program was paused,
09:37was potentially going to be canceled.
09:38And now we are reminding the world that our air power is superior and we are investing
09:44in a maintenance of that superiority and that with that air power, the president talked
09:47about how the the availability of this new, you know, F-47 on our part, obviously a lot
09:54of it's classified, but he said greater payload, greater maneuverability, greater stealth,
09:59greater speeds.
10:00It's going to hold a bunch of drones on tip of the iceberg, and especially that photo
10:03was quite exciting.
10:04But I just note that as we come off of the prior administration, remember the spy balloons
10:10that floated across our country?
10:12Remember how we experienced sort of an alarming uptick and surge of physical violations by
10:18the Chinese in terms of our military institutions and installations, not to mention the intellectual
10:22property theft that also had to do with air technology.
10:26So I, as an American and as a lover of the Air Force and fighter jets, I'm just so heartened
10:32by the F-47 and I can't wait to see it unveiled.
10:35And final quick point.
10:36Last November, China unveiled their answer to our F-22 and the F-35.
10:42So they're right on our heels.
10:44And this is an example.
10:45This is an arena where the president and the secretary of defense's commitment to lethality
10:50and superiority on our part is really going to shine through.
10:53Yeah.
10:54Exciting days for the U.S. military.
10:55All right.
10:56Well, House Republicans launching an investigation into rising swatting attacks on conservatives.
11:01Now, swatting is when someone tries to send armed police to another person's house under
11:06false pretenses.
11:07The act can put the lives of the victims and the responding officers in danger, as it did
11:12in the case of talk radio host Joe Pagliaro, who was recently woken up in the middle of
11:17the night by more than half a dozen armed officers.
11:23But this guy was wherever he happened to be, was trying to get police to break down the
11:27door and possibly either kill me or scare us enough to where I would shut my mouth and
11:31not do what I do on the radio every day.
11:33It was one of those that I'm sure you've had this where your heart flops out of your
11:36chest.
11:37I've never had it that hard before.
11:38But thankfully, the police were there.
11:40They understood the situation.
11:42They got that it was a swatting and we're all safe.
11:43I think that it's a either get me dead, B, have me kill a cop as I'm doing it, C, have
11:49the cop be the one who kills me.
11:50And they were all bad guys.
11:52And then D, people like you shut up and stop talking about what you talk about.
11:55They didn't accomplish what they wanted to, but I hope there will be accountability.
11:59DHS Secretary Kristi Noem vows to hunt the cowards behind those calls, quote, under President
12:05Trump's leadership, we will not sit idly by as conservative news media and their families
12:10are being targeted by false swatting.
12:13DHS has the ability to trace phone numbers and track location information, and we will
12:18use it to hunt these cowards down.
12:21This is an attack, she says, on our law enforcement and innocent families, and we will prosecute
12:26it as such.
12:28Guy, a frightening turn of events that hopefully does not begin a pattern using this as a weapon
12:35is extremely dangerous and it's evil and it should be charged basically at the level of
12:40a home invasion.
12:41I think.
12:42Right.
12:43I believe that when someone falsely accuses someone else of, let's say, sexual assault,
12:46if that is proven to be a hoax and false, there should be charges commensurate to what
12:52the lie initially was.
12:53And in this case, you're putting a lot of people's lives in danger.
12:56You are sending armed police, heavily armed police to the house, believing falsely because
13:02of the lie that there is some sort of life threatening moment or incident unfolding in
13:07that house or at that property.
13:09So they are armed to the teeth, understandably.
13:12And the people sitting at home are completely unaware of any of this.
13:15They're just innocently trying to go about their lives, even sleeping in bed at night.
13:18And to have a door knocked down or pounding, it is a terrifying thing.
13:22And those who are responsible for swatting others should face extremely serious consequences
13:28because this type of thing will get people killed.
13:30Lisa, there's a parallel, in my opinion, between this scenario and the vandalism at the Tesla
13:35dealerships and with cars.
13:37Point being, while the defenders of such it's innocuous, it's no big deal.
13:40The propensity for massive loss of life, the frightening volatility of these scenarios
13:46is what makes it so explosive and so terrifying.
13:49They need to be condemned and prosecuted immediately.
13:51Well, and, you know, how do you think the left would react if that happened?
13:54I mean, sadly, I think there'd be a lot of people cheering.
13:57I mean, we saw that on The Daily Show recently as people were applauding what's happening
14:01with the Teslas and the fire bombings as well.
14:04I mean, look, the whole intention of they want to get someone killed.
14:07That's why you swat.
14:08The hope is that the police officer accidentally kills the individual who's being targeted.
14:12They want someone to be killed.
14:14We've seen people get killed in the past.
14:16One gentleman comes to mind, Andrew Finch.
14:18I think Congress should make this a distinct federal crime.
14:21I believe it can be considered under interstate threats.
14:24But to make it a distinct federal crime, because the whole purpose is to get someone killed.
14:28And if this continues, that will likely happen.
14:30Yeah.
14:31And by using the phones that can be also, yeah, exactly, you're more equipped to answer
14:35that.
14:36I'll kick that over.
14:37Clearly, as the radio host was talking about it, Mr. Joe, I mean, he outlined exactly what
14:42I could have been killed.
14:43They could have been killed.
14:44The danger is so profound and frightening.
14:46It's very scary.
14:47Someone could definitely get killed.
14:49This is a new method, but this this method or practice of intimidation and harassment
14:54is old.
14:55I follow a lot of these conservative influencers.
14:57I've been seeing them say my house is swatted once that it was swatted for the fourth time.
15:02These influencers are very powerful.
15:04They are very effective.
15:05They have huge followings.
15:06Many of them are probably a reason lots of young people flock to the president.
15:10So people know that and they target people who are effective in the Trump orbit.
15:14They did this to me.
15:16My old house in Florida was not swatted, but when they were burning down buildings
15:19in the Tampa area and a gas station, they posted the address of my house, picture of
15:23my house.
15:24And my house was next.
15:25I had police show up at my door.
15:27I had a new baby.
15:28And they said they're threatening to burn down your house.
15:31We need to protect you.
15:32They called both of my high schools, the boys school, the girls school.
15:35They called my dad's business.
15:36They called my uncle's business.
15:38They called my sister's track coach.
15:40They called my mother, said that I was the C word and said that I hope I get cancer.
15:45These are the things people sign up for when they sign up to be an effective voice in the
15:49Trump orbit, either in government or as a conservative influencer who I would argue
15:54has outsized influence more so than many actual government officials.
15:58Stay strong, guys.
16:00You're doing a great job.
16:01You're effective.
16:02And the fact that you're being targeted is an example of why you're so I'm so sorry.
16:06And it really is ready to go through all that since, yeah, it's crazy.
16:08People need to know.
16:09Yeah, so much.
16:10I'm glad.
16:11I'm glad you share that.
16:12I do see a similarity with what's going on with Elon Musk and the Teslas.
16:17And I said this yesterday and took a lot of heat for saying it, but I totally believe
16:20it, especially after what you just said, how these should be separate federal crimes.
16:25They're not vandals.
16:26They're domestic terrorists.
16:28They're blowing up dealerships.
16:29There might be a night guard on that.
16:31They like to do these things after hours.
16:32So you see the flames better, I would guess.
16:35This is about ideology.
16:37And if you look at it, and Congressman Biggs told me this last hour, if you look at it,
16:42it is the definition of domestic terrorism.
16:45And so what does that mean?
16:46If someone gets hurt in the process of this, that ratchets up that crime even further.
16:51We can't tolerate this like this is this is not OK.
16:55There is now and you can look this up today.
16:57Our Seattle affiliate Fox 13 has video of a woman who's Tesla.
17:02She was driving.
17:03It got spun off the road.
17:06A guy ran her off the road, got out.
17:07He had on full fatigue.
17:08You couldn't see anything except for his eyes.
17:11And he threatened her.
17:12He said, you've got to get rid of this car now.
17:14And he went on.
17:15Well, of course, the cameras are rolling from all over the Tesla.
17:18So we see this whole thing play out.
17:21I mean, when I tell you that this is terrorism, she said, thank God she didn't have anybody
17:24young with her.
17:25What if she'd had children with her?
17:27I mean, there are I had then another Al Moter, a Democrat on my hour last hour on the Faulkner
17:32Focus, who said he fears for his life.
17:34He wanted to buy a Tesla, but out of fear, he wouldn't.
17:38A Democrat.
17:40This is terrorizing us as citizens, and it's got to stop, although they're making me want
17:44to buy a Tesla.
17:45I've never wanted to buy it.
17:46You and Dean.
17:47I want to buy one out of spite to Superman to get to him.
17:52Yeah.
17:53Well, guys, up next, the Democrats are struggling and now the Bidens went back in.
17:57Wait for it.
17:58Who's back?
17:59Former President Joe Biden.
18:00That's right.
18:01A new report claims that Biden wants back in the political game with the informer First
18:06Lady Jill Biden, offering to, quote, jump in and help with fundraising and rebuilding
18:11the Democratic Party.
18:13Apparently, he's already over the way Democrats forced him out of office.
18:17But it seems like the left might not want Joe back on board as one major Biden supporter
18:23admitted to NBC.
18:25Who's going to want Joe Biden back in the game?
18:30Ouch.
18:31And that was a major supporter.
18:32You know, here is a special level of self-delusion to be a part of a losing administration and
18:38think I'm ready.
18:39I'm back in.
18:40It takes Hillary level thought process to get there.
18:42Well, and I'm wondering who he thinks he can flex to now, because the people who want the
18:47fight like AOC and Jasmine Crockett and in some regards, maybe others in the party, they
18:55don't want this because people don't fight and sleep at the same time.
18:58So they don't want Joe Biden back.
19:00And he was part of the problem, so they see it.
19:03So I'm not really sure who he's flexing to, because the Chuck Schumer's I mean, what what
19:06we're watching now is a push to get him out of his seat.
19:09Like we were reporting earlier on the Faulkner focus that some of the money that's flowing
19:13from the foundation of George Soros is going to try to push him, push Chuck Schumer out
19:18of the way to get him out of that that minority leader seat in the Senate.
19:22So I'm just wondering, who is he benefiting?
19:25And by the way, Michelle Obama's new podcast, you know, whatever she's doing that she thought
19:30was really going to pump things up.
19:32It's really struggling right now.
19:33I don't know what happens to that generation of Democrat in this atmosphere.
19:38You know, Lisa, we saw that.
19:40I've been wondering what what's Biden doing?
19:42Is he hanging on the beach in Delaware?
19:43Well, we know he met with Ken Harris, the head of the DNC.
19:47We know that he wants to be a part of donors and getting donations in my head immediately
19:51went to Olivia Newsy's reporting in New York magazine.
19:54She wrote Conspiracy of Silence, this big, elaborate article on Joe Biden diminishing
19:59in this anecdote, saying hello to one Democratic mega donor and family friend at the White
20:03House.
20:04Recently, the president stared blankly and nodded his head.
20:07The first lady intervened to whisper in her husband's ear, telling him to say hello to
20:11the donor by name and to thank them for their recent generosity.
20:15I mean, if you can't communicate with donors, how can you get the money from said donor?
20:20Well, also, how much more money do they want to burn through?
20:22Right.
20:23I mean, you look at collectively between Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, it was like three
20:26billion dollars or something like that.
20:28Probably closer.
20:29So how much more money do you want to go through?
20:31Also, I have a theory.
20:32This is Joe Biden driven.
20:34Yes.
20:35Or shadow president who took stage photos on Air Force One on the way to the G7 and
20:40led cabinet meetings.
20:41Right.
20:42Like this is Joe Biden driven because she doesn't want to go out of the spotlight.
20:45She loved it too much.
20:47She loved the fame.
20:48She loved the attention.
20:49She loved the articles about her terrible clothing.
20:51But you know, I mean, this is Joe Biden driven.
20:54So, you know, I mean, the Democrat Party right now is at its lowest point probably
20:57ever in the history of the party.
20:59If you look at approval rating.
21:00So I just you know, how much more does he want to destroy the party and how much more
21:02money does he want to go through?
21:03I don't know, guy.
21:04And, you know, when you think about do Democrats want him back, I mean, Mike Donilon is somebody
21:08who stands out.
21:09It's like I love Biden.
21:10I want him back.
21:11He could have won.
21:12But outside of him, you look at this recent CNN poll this month that asked Democrats who
21:16the leader is of the party.
21:17One percent chose Joe Biden.
21:19Just one.
21:20Yeah.
21:21And I think Lisa's right.
21:23Fundraising is not their problem.
21:24That's the one thing they can do quite well.
21:26Maybe now it's dried up a bit, but the solution is not Joe Biden.
21:29Right.
21:30You can imagine the Bidens showing up at this house party and saying, we're here to help.
21:33Everyone's saying, turn off the lights.
21:35Don't let them know that we're here.
21:36Right.
21:37You've helped more than enough.
21:38Thank you very much.
21:40And the problem the Democrats have right now is they are leaderless and there's a lot of
21:43blame going around.
21:44This story reminds me of another quote that I read from a reporter at another network
21:48talking about this bizarre tour that Tim Walz is on right now across the country.
21:53This is a Democrat from a Trump won district saying, quote, to Walz, Tim, it's time for
21:59you to go home.
22:00This tourism is giving all the wrong signals to the voters.
22:03You lost.
22:05These are recriminations that are not over.
22:07I know the election was months ago.
22:08This is still a hot fight within that party.
22:11It is true.
22:12And Emily, President Trump was asked about Tim Walz and he said normally vice presidents
22:16don't make a difference.
22:17But that one did, he said just moments ago.
22:19Yeah.
22:20I mean, look, I think he's I love your point that he's demonstrated, frankly, the antithesis
22:25of what his party should stand for and especially, you know, cheering for for stock losses when
22:291.6 million shares are held by the state pension fund in his own state.
22:33I mean, the rampant incompetence and density that he displays is just shocking, however
22:39unsurprising.
22:40And I love your analogy, too, because I feel like it's sort of like Jill Biden coming into
22:43that scene in 16 Candles, where the mom is like making all the breakfast and slaving
22:46away and she opens a donut box and is like, well, breakfast is served.
22:49Like, how else can we help?
22:51The answer is stay out.
22:52The party views them as the past, not the future.
22:54One percent reflecting party values, not even the face of the party, but values.
22:59That is how archaic you are.
23:00And meanwhile, as President Trump talks about that, the only thing really appealing feature
23:04is his ability to snooze on a public beach at the end of the day.
23:07They want to sell more books.
23:08That's the that is the report that I believe that they're each in the works of a book.
23:13But the offer for donations and any type of solicitation is firmly, I believe, from the
23:17former first lady and not from the former weeken at Bernie's was more what came to mind
23:21for me.
23:22Yeah, I digress.
23:23Yes.
23:24Well, being able to nap on demand is an impressive skill.
23:26I wish I had it.
23:27Hilaria Baldwin is firing back at critics accusing her of embarrassing her husband on
23:32the red carpet.
23:35That is numbers which didn't work anyway because his numbers were terrible.
23:38What he did, the way he spent money was so horrible.
23:41And what he allowed to happen to energy.
23:43That's the other thing.
23:44Energy is going to be like it's never been before.
23:47Mr. Vice President is here.
23:48If you haven't.
23:49Do you have anything to say?
23:50Why are you here?
23:51Very good.
23:52Vice President.
23:53I'm just here to watch the show, sir.
23:54I think airplanes are pretty cool.
23:55So I want to check this out.
23:56It is cool.
23:57Take off the trademark.
23:58Well, I'll be speaking to President Xi.
23:59I have a great relationship with him.
24:00We're going to have a very good relationship.
24:09But we have a trillion dollar deficit because of Biden with President Xi.
24:14More than that.
24:15I mean, I've heard one point two trillion dollars.
24:18We have a deficit.
24:19And I've explained that to President Xi.
24:22We also have a problem where he's allowing fentanyl to be sent into Mexico and then cross
24:26the border.
24:27And, you know, killing.
24:29I think the number is much higher than the hundred and twenty five hundred and fifteen
24:32that I think it's closer to 300000 people a year.
24:36And so that's a problem.
24:38But they have they have a tremendous surplus against the United States, and we don't want
24:43that.
24:44How have you come to asking for exemptions on tariffs?
24:49Is that something that is under consideration by you?
24:51Well, people are coming to me and talking about tariffs and a lot of people are asking
24:56me if they can have exceptions.
24:58And once you do that for one, you have to do that for all.
25:01So I mean, generally, I did something interestingly during two weeks ago.
25:08I gave the American car companies a break because it would have been unfair if I didn't.
25:14And everybody said, oh, he changed his mind on tariffs.
25:16I didn't change my mind.
25:17I helped our, you know, sort of big three, big four.
25:21I helped some of the American companies.
25:24And instead of taking it properly, they said, oh, he changed it.
25:26I don't change.
25:27But the word flexibility is an important word.
25:31Flexibility.
25:32So there'll be flexibility.
25:33But basically, it's reciprocal so that if China is charging us 50 percent or 30 percent
25:41or 20 percent, and I don't mean China, I mean anybody, any country, Canada.
25:47Nobody knows that Canada is charging our dairy farmers.
25:49They have 270 percent tariffs.
25:53Nobody knows that.
25:54Nobody knows that.
25:56They have up to 400 percent.
25:58They have a couple of tariffs at 400 percent.
26:02Nobody knows that.
26:03Nobody talks about that.
26:04And remember, with Canada, we don't need their cars.
26:07We don't need their lumber.
26:08We don't need their energy.
26:09We don't need anything from Canada.
26:11And yet it costs us 200 billion dollars a year in subsidy to keep Canada afloat.
26:16So when I say they should be a state, I mean that I really mean that because we can't be
26:21expected to carry a country that is right next to us on our border.
26:29It would be a great state.
26:30It would be a cherished state.
26:32The taxes for Canadian citizens would go down in less than half.
26:38They don't spend money on military because they think we're going to protect them.
26:42There are many things that they do like icebreakers.
26:45They want us to provide icebreakers for them.
26:47Oh, that's wonderful.
26:48So the Canada, they've been a very tough traders.
26:53I want to just tell you all the people that tough traders, they trade very tough.
26:58And you know, the expression I use is some people don't have the cards.
27:03I use that expression about a week and a half ago, right?
27:06Somebody was negotiating.
27:07We didn't have the cards.
27:08Who's now, I think, saying that he wants to do it.
27:11And I think we're going to have a big deal on that very special something.
27:15We've got to make a deal on that.
27:16But Canada has been a very nasty negotiator against the United States, took advantage
27:21of the United States for a long time.
27:24But nobody knows that they were getting 270 percent tariffs on dairy products.
27:28I don't think I've heard you say this in all the talk about Canada becoming the 51st state.
27:35Are you concerned that if they became the 51st state, they would be a very, very blue
27:41state.
27:42Very, very big and very, very blue.
27:44There might be.
27:45But it would you know, you have that artificial line that goes that straight artifact that
27:50looked like it was drawn by a ruler, somebody with a I don't mean a ruler like a king.
27:55I mean, like a ruler, like a ruler this way.
27:58And it's just an artificial line that was drawn in the sand or in the ice.
28:04And can I tell you, Peter, just you you add that to this country.
28:09What a beautiful landmass, the most beautiful landmass anywhere in the world.
28:14And it was just cut off for whatever reason.
28:16It would be great now.
28:18Is it liberal?
28:19Maybe.
28:20But, you know, a conservative until I got involved, because I don't care who wins up
28:23there.
28:24I frankly probably would do better with a liberal than the conservative if you want
28:27to know the truth.
28:28But just a little while ago, before I got involved and totally changed the election,
28:34which I don't care about, probably it's our advantage, actually.
28:39But the conservative was leading against I call him Governor Trudeau.
28:43The conservative was leading by thirty five points.
28:46So, you know, so I don't know about that.
28:48I think Canada is a place like a lot of other places.
28:51If you have a good candidate, the candidate is going to win.
28:54And the two astronauts that you just helped save from space, they didn't get any overtime
29:01pay for all that extra time.
29:03They got five dollars a day per day for two hundred eighty six days.
29:07That is fourteen hundred and thirty dollars in extra pay.
29:12Is there anything the administration can do to get them to make them whole?
29:17Well, nobody's ever mentioned this to me.
29:19If I have to, I'll pay it out of my own pocket, OK?
29:21I'll get it for I like that.
29:25I think I'll pay it right out of my.
29:27Is that all?
29:28That's not a lot for what they had to go through.
29:31And I want to thank Elon Musk, by the way, because think if we don't have him.
29:36You know, there's only so long, even though they're in the capsule up there that the body
29:41starts to deteriorate after nine or 10 months and gets really bad after 14, 15 months with
29:47the bones and the blood and all the things that you've been reporting on very well.
29:52And if we don't have Elon, they could be up there a long time.
29:56Who else is going to get him?
29:58And I just want to thank him.
29:59He's going through a lot what they're doing to him.
30:02And these people are going to be caught and they're going to be caught and they're going
30:05to be prosecuted.
30:07And from what they tell me, I see this just by watching your programs and reading the
30:13news.
30:14But from what they tell me, they could get 20 years in jail and they'll get it.
30:17I'll tell you, there's going to be no leniency and there'll be no pardons.
30:20I can tell you that.
30:21Right.
30:22You said this morning, 20 years in jail and then maybe they'll go to one of these prisons
30:28in El Salvador.
30:29Do you think with the way that the judges have been issuing injunctions, it would be
30:34easier or harder to send these Tesla domestic terrorists to a jail in El Salvador than these
30:40MS-13 or Trende Aragón guys?
30:41Well, I view these people as terrorists, just like others.
30:45When I looked at those showrooms burning and those cars, not one or two, like seven, eight,
30:5110 burning, exploding all over the place.
30:54These are terrorists.
30:55You didn't have that on January 6th, I can tell you.
30:58You didn't have anything like that on January 6th, which is sort of amazing, because on
31:02January 6th, the the Democrats were talking.
31:07Nobody was killed other than a very beautiful young woman, Ashley, Ashley Babbitt.
31:14Nobody was killed.
31:16And you look at what's going on now with these terrorists.
31:18He's a terrorist.
31:19So that's an organized event.
31:20You know, take a look at their signs.
31:21Take a look.
31:22They're all made by the same sign company, a nice, expensive job.
31:27Now, these are the people that finance it are, in my opinion, in just as big a trouble
31:32as the people that are setting the match and setting the fires.
31:36So we'll see.
31:37It's under very serious investigation by the FBI and by the Justice Department.
31:42These people are terrorists.
31:43OK.
31:44Yeah, go ahead.
31:45Behind you, please.
31:46Mr. President, what do you say to American military families who are seeing Elon Musk
31:47at the Pentagon today, are hearing about defense department cuts, and their thoughts are immediately
31:48going to the Pentagon?
31:49Well, we're making our country strong.
32:02And when they see a thing like that and they hear that story about Elon and China, what
32:07they should do is realize that the New York Times is a corrupt institution, because I
32:12think they're the ones they knew that story wasn't true.
32:14Nobody believed that story.
32:15People that when I first got there, they laughed when they heard this story.
32:19Nobody believed it, that the Pentagon was giving him a briefing on what war with China
32:24would look like.
32:26And he has business.
32:27No, they made that up because it's a good story to make up that they're very dishonest
32:31people.
32:32Look, I have it with the Times and you'll see more and more of it.
32:37To me, it's a very, very, very dishonest organization.
32:41But a story like that is made up.
32:43It's total fiction.
32:45And I just wanted to make sure I called up chief of staff and I called up Pete and I
32:51said, is there any truth to that?
32:54Absolutely not.
32:55He's there for Doge, not there for China.
32:58And if you ever mentioned China, I think he'd walk out of the room.
33:00He wouldn't.
33:01He wouldn't take it anyway.
33:02So it's just a made up story.
33:06Nobody's taking better care of the military.
33:08One of the things that I know that Pete's doing is he's talking about a lot of the civilian
33:11staff and and we're going to get them other jobs.
33:15You know, we're going to have a lot of jobs in this country because but we don't want
33:19to have wasteful jobs.
33:20We want to have meaningful jobs.
33:22And those were wasteful jobs.
33:23Those are jobs that not only military, but.
