00:00When he directs you, is there any sort of sibling rivalry there, or do you submit as an actor?
00:08No, no, I've always believed that I'm a director's actor, so that includes him too.
00:12So whenever I work with him, I just give it to him.
00:14I ask him what he wants out of me, what he wants a character to be like.
00:19And like I mentioned, him being an actor, you know, he explains everything in detail,
00:23like how he wants my eyes to be, how he wants me to look, to walk.
00:26I'm sure that's the way he's operated with every other actor too.
00:29So in that way, I've always felt that, you know, a director who's very communicative with his actors,
00:34it makes the job easier for the actor.
00:37And on that regard, I've always enjoyed working with him.
00:39He's got so much clarity about things, not just about acting, about everything.
00:43Yeah.
00:46Hi, this is Nayandeep Malayali, who's not a Mohanlal sir or Mammootty sir fan.
00:52I think it's no Indian who's not a Mohanlal sir or Mammootty sir fan.
00:58Because even before this whole pan India things have happened,
01:01we've actually loved and adored what you guys have done from the Malayalam film industry.
01:06So maybe now it's time for you to buy a ticket and go to the theaters and watch us as well.
01:10I will definitely do it because I just told the team that it's one of the best trailers that I've watched.
01:14And I genuinely, genuinely mean it.
01:16Thank you so much.
01:17My question is to the writer, Murali Gopi sir.
01:21You know, Malayalam film industry is one where,
01:24today we say that writers are not given precedence, writers are not given value.
01:30I think Malayalam film industry is that one industry where writing has always been the base of any form of filmmaking or project making.
01:37And they have given respect to the writers.
01:40Today it's going to be a pan India project where the whole of India is going to see what you've made.
01:45I watched the first part and I know what you did with the first part.
01:50The second part is going to be amazing.
01:51The trailer is out.
01:53Do you feel that there is a need for this kind of respect to happen all over, like in the other industries?
02:00Do you feel that the other industries lack?
02:03You cannot demand respect. Respect has to be earned.
02:06That stands good in every other field, including cinema.
02:11So what we have tried here, we have not tried intentionally to make a spectacular movie.
02:17So the content has to be genuine.
02:20So ingenuity of content is what counts.
02:24So that is what we stressed upon.
02:26Spectacle has to be a part of it.
02:29And that is how we looked at it here.
02:32And my question would be to how does it make you feel today that because of films like this,
02:37at least writers are being spoken there on stage, which hardly happens really in some of the screenings and some of the press events as well.
02:49I told you that this is my 47th year in films.
02:53I had the chance of working with great writers like Padmarajan, M.T. Vasudevan, Lohith Dada, so many.
03:02So writing, of course, and especially in Malayalam, that time we have to be there.
03:08Films were known for the writers.
03:11There was a time.
03:12This is a cycle again.
03:13The entire film industry changed, the making changed, the concept of the film changed.
03:20Everything has changed.
03:21But definitely there should be a story.
03:24After watching the film, you have to take something back to your home.
03:28It could be the story or it could be a scene or it could be a performance.
03:33So here, you can call this an entertainment.
03:36Oh, that movie is an entertainer.
03:38To make an entertainer is not an easy thing.
03:41People should love the entire aspect of the film, the song, story, acting.
03:47To bring out that, we need somebody.
03:51This is a beautiful Congress.
03:52So writer is a very important point in the film.
03:56And the writer and the director has to decide how to make this movie and how to bring the actors into the frame, how to do it.
04:04This is brilliant.
04:05This is a gift of the God.
04:08And definitely, I'll say, I have said a couple of times, Prithviraj is one of the greatest directors in India.
04:17Seriously, he is going to be one of the top rated directors in their scene.
04:22And this is only what you can call like a tip of the iceberg.
04:28Yeah.
04:29Let it happen.
04:29Because that kind of convection is God.
04:33He sleeps cinema.
04:34He eats cinema.
04:36He breathes cinema.
04:37He's always in the film when he's into that mood.
04:40Otherwise, he's a naughty person.
