00:00Justice Secretary Jesús Crispin Remulla challenged Attorney Harry Roque to go home to the Philippines and confront the allegations against him.

00:11I cannot come home. I have to defend my president as a member of the list council of the ICC at the Hague.

00:21On Monday, Attorney Harry Roque said that he will not go home to the Philippines to defend former President Rodrigo Duterte

00:28in the middle of the case of murder as a crime against humanity in the International Criminal Court.

00:34I'm formally announcing that after our meeting today, I'm filing formally for asylum here at the Netherlands.

00:40But yesterday, Vice President Sara Duterte said that Roque is not included among the nominated to be the lawyer of the former president.

00:48We still haven't established the basis of his stay here in the Netherlands.

00:58And we don't want complications. We really want the lawyers to be able to focus on the case.

01:07And right now, I heard he's applying for asylum. He publicly announced that already.

01:16So we want him to focus on his asylum. And we want our lawyers to focus on the case.

01:24Roque did not comment on the reaction of the GMA Integrated News regarding the allegations of Vice President Duterte.

01:29But at the gate of the Justice Department, Roque just went home and stopped the discussion on joining the ICC.

01:37His face is so fake to be relevant here. He needs to be here. He's a demander issue.

01:42He withdrew as a lawyer, ICC lawyer.

01:46Even so, he's still relevant. What we're talking about here is human trafficking, the accusations against him.

01:53Roque is facing a complaint of qualified human trafficking, violation of human rights in Whirlwind Corporation and Lucky South 99,

02:01companies that are under the influence of Pogo Hub, which is involved in illegal activities.

02:08Roque previously denied that there is no evidence against him in trafficking.

02:12The complaint was submitted for resolution to Roque and to other companies involved in the complaint, such as Cassandra Ong.

02:18There was also an arrest order against him by the House Squad Committee because Roque did not respond to the complaints.

02:24If he faces anything that hurts him, he should face it. He should defend himself.

02:34It's better for him to represent himself first, to defend himself before defending other people.

02:42Roque has yet to respond to the allegations of Remulia and Malacanang.
