Unang bahagi pa lang ng 2025, lumobo na ang kaso ng dengue sa bansa kahit hindi pa tag-ulan. Bilang tulong, nagsagawa ang GMA Kapuso Foundation ng Kontra Dengue Project sa Cavite at blood donation drive sa Tarlac.

00:00In the first half of 2025, the case of dengue in the country has already spread even though it hasn't rained yet.

00:10As a help, GMA Kapuso Foundation has created a contra-dengue project in Cavite and blood donation drive in Tarlac.

00:19Since Rosalinda's eldest son got dengue, she has been taking extra care.

00:30Aside from cleaning, she also provides water containers that can be used to water the plants.

00:38But despite this, her son is still not safe from dengue.

00:44When we got his blood, we found out that he already has dengue.

00:49He was only 17 years old.

00:54It's a good thing that the son was immediately rushed to the hospital.

00:59According to the Department of Health, as of February 22, 2025, Calabarzon is the highest dengue case in the country.

01:09The province of Cavite, Imus has the highest number of cases.

01:13As a help, we created a contra-dengue project where we provided anti-dengue kits.

01:21Since last year, we were number one for the whole year, 2024.

01:27So at that time, we decided to declare an outbreak in December.

01:34We bought misting chemicals.

01:38And because of the rise in the number of cases of dengue in the country, the number of people in need of blood also increased.

01:45That's why we also started the Gipdugtong Buhay Bloodletting Project,

01:50which is the training command of the Philippine Army.

01:53We distributed 324 blood bags.

01:57Lay Maniego and Princess Canyete also participated.

02:02If we have a dengue epidemic, the top affected area is Cavite.

02:09So we don't stop.

02:12And that's why we partnered with AFP.

02:17They collect a lot of blood donors.
