00:00Now, the number of accidents involving motorcycles is increasing, and they are asking for proper training for the riders.

00:18This motorcycle rider fell on the side of Quezon Avenue in Quezon City after crashing into a taxi.
00:25He was taken to the hospital after he was injured.

00:35Another rider in Cagayan, De Oro City, was even more shocked because he was in the way of a truck that crashed into him last Saturday.
00:44A police officer was also killed and he was taken to the hospital after a mini-dump truck hit his motorcycle in Toledo, Cebu last week.
00:53Those are just a few of the motorcycle accidents reported in the first half of 2024.
00:59The average number of motorcycle accidents in Metro Manila is more than 2,000,
01:05which is equivalent to 57 accidents per day.
01:09In 2023, the most number of motorcycle accidents were caused by cars.
01:15Of course, as the population of motorcycles grows,
01:19the accident rate will naturally increase.
01:24The number of motorcycles registered in the country will reach seven million based on the latest data from the Land Transportation Office.
01:32But this is still a small number compared to other countries in Southeast Asia like Vietnam,
01:37where more than 72 million motorcycles were registered in 2020.

01:46That's why the motorcycle sector is looking for a solution.
