00:00I'm PC Partridge, I'm part of the Neighbourhood Policing team for South North Ants.
00:05We're here today at an address in Harpole near Northampton where we have executed a
00:10Section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act warrant in relation to cannabis cultivation and production in the
00:17property behind me. Prior to today we've received a number of pieces of intelligence in relation to
00:23this property and that it may have been used to grow cannabis. That's something which obviously
00:30we have obviously then developed and then have been able to apply to the Magistrates Court who
00:35have granted us obviously a warrant to enter and search these premises. Once we've executed the
00:40warrant we have found approximately 500 cannabis plants. We've currently got one male in custody
00:46already in Northampton. Following on from today this will then turn to a much
00:50longer term investigation looking at those who have been involved in not only setting up
00:58this cannabis farm but also who has obviously benefited it from well in terms of making money
01:03off it. A lot of the time with these grows that people are being forced into growing these
01:11plants, often trafficked into the country, living in really poor conditions. We'd encourage anyone
01:18with any information on cannabis grows in their area to contact us. You can do that anonymously
01:25through Crimestoppers. That one strand of intelligence we will then pick up and we can
01:31then obviously then take it from there and develop that into executing a warrant. Any piece of
01:35information no matter how small they think could potentially be the the final piece we need to get
01:41a warrant sworn out.
