00:00So, James, looking at Spurs and obviously, you know, the situation this season, it's
00:06not been ideal. It's not been something that many Spurs fans wanted, obviously, after narrowly
00:11missing out on the sort of top four, those higher echelons of the Premier League last
00:16season when they did so well. And then the fall-off has been quite remarkable, really.
00:22In terms of, you know, the last few months, the last sort of six months or so, it's not
00:27been good. But, you know, does Ange deserve all the blame? Because, you know, you've got
00:33this group, this core of still top-class, world-class players on their day, and they've
00:38just simply not performed. So, where do you sort of lay that blame in terms of the on-field
00:42problems, if we look at that, and sort of how they can move forward together?
00:47Yeah, I mean, firstly, you're right in saying, you know, the season's been a complete disaster.
00:53I think we're on for our worst league finishings since 2008, ironically, the last time we won
00:58a trophy as well. But in terms of where the blame lies, I mean, you know, it's a collective
01:04effort, but obviously, you know, the responsibility rests with the manager. You know, Ange had
01:09such a bright start to his tenure at Spurs, you know, he really sort of lifted the club,
01:14re-energised us, reconnected us as a fan base, and then slowly but surely the cracks have
01:17just been starting to appear. And, you know, like I said in previous videos, you know,
01:22we've got half the fan base wanting the manager out, half want the chairman out. There's unrest
01:27in the stands every game, you know, we saw it against Fulham, more fans calling Ange
01:32out again. And I think, you know, in terms of Ange, he's run out of excuses now. He's
01:37got all his players back, albeit some that are, you know, fighting their way back to
01:41fitness. Confidence is a factor with the number of players. But the players have also got
01:46to step up and take responsibility as well. I mean, you look at that game against Fulham
01:50and, you know, I think it was highlighted on Match of the Day, you know, the lack of
01:53effort, the lack of tracking back. You know, as soon as Romero went off the pitch, it fell
01:59apart. And it was just, you know, as a Spurs fan sort of sat there monitoring the score,
02:04you're just waiting, you're just waiting. 75 minutes, 0-0, and you just know what's
02:08coming. And sadly, that just sums up the season. I mean, two really, really poor goals to give
02:13away. As I say again, no leadership, no fight. Looks like a lot of players have given up
02:18either on the league or on Ange or both, which is just not good enough. I mean, 15 defeats
02:23for the season is just simply unacceptable. When you look at that team, even with seven
02:28changes on the weekend, you know, that team is good enough and should have been good enough,
02:34no disrespect, to beat Fulham, who have done very, very well. You know, Marco Silva has
02:38done an excellent job at Fulham. They're a really well-drilled team. He's almost got
02:41a lot of journeymen there, hasn't he? And they've all come together and, you know, really
02:46do perform well. So, the irony is that, obviously, Silva's been linked with Spurs, should Ange
02:50depart, which is quite an interesting take. But, you know, collective responsibility,
02:54I think there's failures on Ange. Team selections in the last few weeks have been very questionable
02:59to me. Not sure how Bissouma starts a game at the moment. He got hooked against Bournemouth
03:04at half-time, but yet he started again on the weekend, hooked again at half-time against
03:09Fulham, you know, can't pass the ball five yards, looks devoid of confidence. You know,
03:14I think Ange spoke about his focus during the game. He's obviously had a few off-field
03:18problems this year, but, you know, if he is devoid of confidence, you know, why are we
03:23picking him? You know, there's other options. And again, you know, it just boils down to
03:28that lack of leadership on the pitch. And as I say, you know, we saw with Romero and
03:31van der Ven back inside in the Europa League, the difference they make. You take them out
03:36and, you know, we just look rudderless.
