Spurs still searching for additions late in the transfer window

A look at the search for reinforcement at Spurs.

00:00And just finally on the transfer situation, obviously, you know, you really stress that names do need to come through the door.

00:09What's the sort of type of player that they're going to be after if they are to make some January additions?

00:21Well, I think now it's all about leadership.

00:23You know, we need some experience. We need some leadership to help some of these younger players through.

00:27You know, I mean, the young players have been the positives and the shining lights this season.

00:32You know, they've been absolutely terrific.

00:34But we need some help now in terms of, you know, leadership and experienced bodies.

00:39And we're crying out for a number six, a defensive midfielder.

00:43I've been saying that for a long, long time. I think that's more important than the centre-back position.

00:47But, you know, we really do need that. We need some options up front as well.

00:51You know, Richarlison looks like he's got a groin injury.

00:55He leaves us with no available striker. So we need to bring in, you know, a forward.

00:59Lots of talk about Evan Ferguson at Brighton.

01:02And, you know, he's been likened in the past to Harry Kane, the way he moves and finishes.

01:06And I know he's got an injury problem and he's been struggling for his fitness.

01:10But I tell you what, I'd take a fit Evan Ferguson in the team.

01:14You know, it could be a real steal for us if we were to get that one over the line.

01:17So that could be an option, short-term loan.

01:20But, you know, again, we're going to be looking at stopgaps now.

01:22The strategy's been absolutely abysmal through January.

01:25We're, you know, three quarters of the way through January.

01:28There's less than a week left in the window and we're still scratching around looking at, you know, players.

01:32And it'll be stopgap loans now. And, you know, what good's that really?

01:35But we're in a desperate situation. So desperate times calls for desperate measures.
