00:00You're nominated tonight. Who are you excited to see here at the iHeartRadio Music Award?
00:04Oh my gosh, first of all, everybody. I hear Mariah Carey is being honored tonight, so I'm literally so excited to be in the same building as the Queen, Lady Gaga.
00:13I mean, so many amazing people. I'm just so grateful to be here, surrounded by this talent, this creativity, and I'm getting starstruck a little bit.
00:22Mariah is receiving the Icon Award. What do you think makes her so iconic?
00:27I mean, do I really have to explain it? Look it up. I mean, she has so much to her name. She has changed so many dynamics with her voice.
00:36I mean, she's truly impactful, not only for representation, but also for the vocal advancements that she has brought to this culture, so I love it.
00:46Now, coming up, you have the Descendants Tour, right? How are you preparing, and what are you excited for fans to see?
00:51Oh my gosh, well, I'm really excited to meet all the fans, like being able to go cross-country and meeting everyone that's supported us for so long.
00:58It's truly an honor. I'm really excited because I get to write an original song for the tour, so I can't wait for people to hear that.
01:06And there's a lot of cool songs that we're doing from the past Descendants and from ours, so I can't wait for people to see what we bring to the table.
01:13I mean, such an honor. Descendants, I watched it growing up, so being a part of it is truly like full circle,
01:18and I'm such a fan of everyone that's been a part of it, including just the people now, the people then. It's just amazing. Such an honor.
01:25So that song will be original music for you?
01:28Yeah, yeah, I might write it or whatever, so hopefully it's good because I'm about to write it now, so yeah.
01:35I bet it's going to be great. Can we expect more new music from you?
01:39Most definitely. Definitely a little bit more, dare I say, mature for me. I'm a big girl, and I love it.
01:48And I want to be true to myself, sharing that vulnerability side of myself and tell my real life experience,
01:55so it won't be as censored as I usually be. I might be a little crazy, so keep calm. Don't hurt me, okay?
02:04We're excited to hear it, and what else do you have coming up that you're excited about?
02:08I have a couple new projects coming up. I'm still working with Pantene, so we got some new products coming out for them too,
02:14and maybe some shows, I don't know, maybe a movie, I don't know. So yeah.
02:20You're booked and busy.
02:22Since this is the iHeartRadio Music Awards, who's an artist that you listened to on the radio growing up that made you want to sing?
02:30Oh my gosh. Beyonce, yeah, and Janelle Monáe, and Erykah Badu. I mean, all of them have really just shaped who I am today.
02:39Oh, and Jill Scott. So yeah, all of them really put a real big stamp on who I am as a human being,
02:45and how I walk, and how I talk, and how I sing. So yeah.
02:49I'm asking people on the red carpet today about, you know, last summer was Bratz summer.
02:54What kind of vibes are we manifesting for this summer?
02:59Healing. Healing summer. It's been rough. Healing.
03:04We need a healing summer.
03:06We need a healing summer. We need some, like, chakras. We need some manifestation.
03:09We need some, like, water with some cucumbers and lemon. Yeah.
03:13Balling on a budget though, so hopefully I get that spa day, you know, reasonably.
03:18You need it because you're so busy.
03:20Yeah. Yes. Please.
