We're less than two weeks away from Rangers Opening Day, and the team might not have some of their projected starting pitchers come March 27th. ESPN MLB insider Buster Olney joined the K&C Masterpiece today to talk about if he thinks the team will be able to weather this wave of pitching injuries, if anyone can stop the Dodgers' dominance on the field, if MLB will implement a salary cap within the next ten years, and more!

00:00I have become somewhat concerned over the last week or so and now you add in injuries
00:20to John Gray, further complications with Cody Bradford.
00:24What is the proper concern level for the rotation at the start of the year?
00:29Well, I think given especially where we've seen injuries in baseball in recent years,
00:35I think for the Rangers at this point, probably a six or a seven would be the level of concern.
00:42You know, if all things go right with the guys that they have, they'll be fine, I think
00:47in the end.
00:48But, you know, Jacob DeGrom's injury history is his injury history and Nathan, of all these
00:53injury histories, is what it is and you just hope that they're able to hold together.
00:58Now, I would say this, you know, I think from the Rangers' perspective, playing in the American
01:02League West, the bar is not as high as it's been in the past.
01:07You'd be especially concerned about these injuries if they were playing in the American
01:11League East or if they're playing in the National League East, but they're playing in the American
01:16League West, which is, I think you guys would agree with me, it's kind of taken a step down
01:21in recent years with the Astros going from a dominant presence to a team that probably
01:27at its best would win 90 games.
