The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Monday, March 17 said the effect of the northeast monsoon, or “amihan,” has reintensified, bringing a slight drop in temperatures and light to moderate rains.

00:07The strong north-east monsoon or cold wind is still continuing here in a large part of Luzon
00:14which will bring a part of a decrease in temperature and light to moderate rains.
00:18While the easterly or the wind from the Pacific Ocean will still bring hot weather
00:23in many areas of southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao
00:26will still be accompanied by heavy rains and thunderstorms.
00:31Based on our latest satellite animation,
00:33we still cannot see a possible storm or low-pressure area until the end of this week.
00:41Today, the chance of rain is still the highest here in a large part of northern Luzon
00:46due to the north-east monsoon.
00:48Expect mild to moderate rains in Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela,
00:53Pababa here in Aurora.
00:55Expect gloomy weather and a decrease in temperature.
00:59Also, be careful of landslides in areas in the mountains.
01:03Meanwhile, before noon, there is a chance of rain in some areas of Cagayan Valley
01:09here in the northern portion of the Cordillera region

05:22It is up to the Northeast monsoon.
05:25And there are high chances of rain tomorrow.
05:27Here in the eastern Visayas,
05:29Caraga Region, and southern portion of Bicol Region,
05:32there are high chances of rain.
05:34So, be careful of flooding and bring an umbrella
05:37if you are going out of the house.
05:38Other areas,
05:39only isolated rain showers and thunderstorms,
05:41especially in the western sides of Visayas and Mindanao.
05:46Wednesday until Friday,
05:48the monsoon will continue.
05:50It is expected to have light to moderate rains in Cagayan Valley,
05:53Aurora, Quezon, and Camarines Provinces
05:56because of the monsoon.
05:57And it is expected to have high chances of rain
06:00in Visayas,
06:01portions of Bicol Region,
06:03here in the southern part,
06:04and in Mimaropa,
06:05especially in Palawan and Doromblon.
06:07It is the effect of the shear line,
06:09or the bangaan,
06:10of the monsoon and Easter lease.
06:12And because of the strong Easter lease,
06:14the chances of rain in Mindanao
06:16will also be high
06:17when Wednesday until Friday,
06:19especially in Caraga and Davao Region.
06:21So, be careful of flooding
