00:00On the Democrats. One more?
00:02On Korea, sir, we've seen tension increasing in the peninsula.
00:06You've talked about Kim Jong-un.
00:08Do you have any plans of getting, of re-establishing the relationship you had during the first mandate?
00:13Well, I would. I had a great relationship with Kim Jong-un, North Korea.
00:17If I wasn't elected, if Hillary got in, you would have had a nuclear war with North Korea.
00:22He expected it. He expected it.
00:25And they said, oh, thousands of people, no, millions of people would have been killed.
00:29But I got in. We went to Singapore. We met. We went to Vietnam. We met.
00:36We got along really good. We had a very good relationship.
00:39And we still do. We still do.
00:43You don't have that threat that you had.
00:45I mean, look, when I was running the first time, it looked like there was going to be a war with North Korea.
00:49You know that better than anyone.
00:50Tensions were high.
00:51Yeah. And everybody was startled that you invited him for talks.
00:57Right.
00:58It started off very rough.
01:00And he wouldn't meet with Obama, wouldn't take his calls.
01:03I said, how many times did you call?
01:05They called a lot. He wouldn't take that call.
01:07He told me I wouldn't take his call.
01:09But with me, it did start off rough, if you remember.
01:12Very rough, actually. Very nasty.
01:14There was a Singaporean visit.
01:15Yeah. But then, no, before that, then it stopped.
01:20The rhetoric was extremely tough.
01:23It was.
01:24You had a speech at the U.N., you remember.
01:26Yeah, that's right. It was a little bit dangerous.
01:28And then we met.
01:30They asked for a meeting, and then we met.
01:33And the meeting caused the Olympics, which was South Korea, to become a tremendous success.
01:37Nobody was buying tickets for the Olympics because they didn't want to be nuked.
01:42And I met.
01:44And not only did the Olympics become successful, but North Korea participated in the Olympics.
01:49It's just a visit.
01:50It was an amazing thing.
01:52And that was something that was an achievement of the Trump administration.
01:56Great achievement.
01:57And so I have a great relationship with Kim Jong-un.
02:01And we'll see what happens.
02:03But certainly, he's a nuclear power.
02:05Okay?
02:06Thank you very much, everybody.
