00:00You guys are denying this New York Times report that Elon Musk was going to be shown a 20
00:10to 30 page presentation about a theoretical war plan against China.
00:15Why not just show it to Elon?
00:17Because I don't want to show it to anybody.
00:20You know, you're talking about a potential war with China.
00:23Now I deal with these people all the time and I'm dealing with Pete, I'm dealing with
00:28these gentlemen on numerous different airplane purchases and I think they're all going to
00:33be great.
00:34But I don't want other people saying anybody seeing potential war with China.
00:40We don't want to have a potential war with China.
00:42But I can tell you if we did, we're very well equipped to handle it.
00:45But I don't want to show that to anybody.
00:47But certainly you wouldn't show it to a businessman who is helping us so much.
00:51He's a great patriot.
00:52He's taking it's paying a big price for helping us cut costs.
00:56He's doing a great job.
00:57He's fighting tremendous waste, fraud and abuse.
01:01But I certainly wouldn't want, you know, Elon has businesses in China and he would be susceptible
01:06perhaps to that.
01:08But it was such a fake story.
01:09The New York Times is just as fake as CNN and MSDNC.
01:13And anybody read that story.
01:16People laughed at that story.
01:17Who would do such a thing?
01:19And the first thing I did is I called Susie and I called Pete.
01:24I said, is there any truth to that?
01:25And they said, it's ridiculous.
01:27No, he's over there to talk about costs.
01:30You might want to address that, Pete.
01:31But Elon was over there today to address costs.
01:36Doge, thing called Doge, which you've heard about.
01:39That's exactly right, Mr. President.
01:40You pointed out it was a fake story.
01:42We pointed out it was.
01:44It was meant to sort of undermine whatever relationship the Pentagon has with Elon Musk.
01:49Elon Musk is a patriot.
01:51Elon Musk is an innovator.
01:52Elon Musk provides a lot of capabilities our government and our military rely on,
01:56and I'm grateful for that.
01:57We welcomed him today to the Pentagon to talk about Doge,
02:01to talk about efficiencies, to talk about innovations.
02:04It was a great informal conversation.
02:06The rest of that reporting was fake.
02:08There was no war plans.
02:09There was no Chinese war plans.
02:10There was no secret plans.
02:12That's not what we were doing at the Pentagon.
02:14I might add that I think Elon, if they ever wanted to do that,
02:17I think Elon wouldn't do it.
02:18I think he wouldn't do it.
02:19He wouldn't want to put himself in that position.
02:22But if you read what's out of the New York Times,
02:24it's such a dishonest newspaper.
02:26It's such garbage.
02:27It's, you know, it used to be called all the news that's fit to print.
02:30Well, it's all the news that's not fit to print.
02:33They have fake sources, or they don't have sources.
02:36I think they make most of it up.
02:37But this was a made-up story by the New York Times.
02:40I call it the failing.
02:41It's a failing newspaper.
02:42It's failing.
02:43And they shouldn't do that.
02:45They really are the enemy of the people.
02:48We really, we do need honest journalism in this.
02:51You know, we've made such big strides over the last two months,
02:55but we just need honest journalism, and we don't have it.
02:59When you have a CNN, I watch, you have to watch these people
03:02every once in a while just to see where they're coming from.
03:04And it's so dishonest.
03:05MSNBC is, I think, probably worse.
03:08And they're both doing horribly in the ratings.
03:10I think they're going to be turned off.
03:11I don't think, they're not doing any ratings.
03:14You're doing well in the ratings.
