01:10It's like are you gonna shut the government down or are you just gonna say? Hey, I I disagree with many parts about the CR

01:17But but it's like that's what that's where we are

01:19Or if they if there's some sign kind of a process where that they can essentially strip the filibuster

01:26Requirement and then they if they they raise if they raise the the debt limit

01:31Well, then that's a double capitulation and then that means they don't want to just tell

01:37and saying yeah, we are effectively voting for it, but then we can technically say that I voted no on that and

01:48How many of your colleagues do you think will vote along with you to keep the lights on when government funding expires at midnight

01:56well what I'm saying, it's like, you know for me never vote to shut the government down and

02:01if you are wanting to

02:03If you don't want to vote for that CR because you want to protect the government and some of the things that I don't agree

02:08With that are happening. Well, then again, you're it's like I'm not going to cut the baby in half

02:18So you're hoping that other Democrats will join along with you and not shut down

02:49I'm saying that that's that's the choice and

02:52They you can either vote for the CR and not you don't have to that means you don't agree with with all of it

02:58It's just that we agree that you don't want to shut the government down

03:00And now do you want to risk, you know, you know having the economy move into a recession

03:06I'm not willing to do that thing

03:07And now if you claim that we want to protect the government by shutting it down that absolutely will impact

03:13Millions and millions and millions of people that's the choice that we have to make and that's a CR that I'm know

03:18There's not one single Democrat including myself that agree with all these elements as well now to so make that choice

03:24You're going to shut the government down or no, and I'm not going to do that

03:28And that's doing the hard and the right thing right now, and I'm not going to pander to the extreme kind of reaction right now

03:34But that's where we were and it wasn't that long ago that we were we were scolding that the Republicans

03:40Threatening to shut the government down

03:41So now that situation has changed and they had the votes in the house and they delivered that and now that's incumbent on us to

03:49Make that decision and now you know, I don't know how my other colleagues are going to go

03:52But you know not because I support the the CR, you know the idea but I am unwilling to vote to shut the government down
