00:00PTV Balita is here now. Malacanang will deny the arrest of Vice President Sara Duterte for state kidnapping.

00:15PCO Undersecretary and Palace Press Briefer Attorney Claire Castro explained that the warrant of arrest against the former president went through the right process.

00:27Malacanang also denied that the arrest was not forced, especially since the court's order was only followed by the authorities.

00:35It can be argued that the former president was accused of crimes against humanity as part of his campaign against illegal drugs.

00:44First of all, how can it be a kidnapping if there is a warrant of arrest? It was issued by an authority, by the court.

00:55If there is an issuance of any order from the court, we have to comply, especially with what happened through INTERPOL.

01:06It is not possible for any authority to serve, let's say a sheriff, and we will be the ones to support, or we will be the ones to hurt, or we will be the ones to beat.

01:31I do not see any kidnapping because it was not forced, and all the elements that should be used to say that the warrant of arrest is valid, and the request for assistance from INTERPOL is there.

01:52The Philippine National Police assured that the situation in the country is looking good and peaceful following the arrest of former President Rodrigo Duterte.

02:00According to PNP Chief General Romel Francisco Marvin, the entire police force has been on heightened alert since yesterday as part of the standard security measures.

02:09Like Ania, PNP is on alert in case of developments, while the public is not able to remain calm and not to spread misinformation or fake news.

02:23Meanwhile, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board suspended the Comprehensive Road Safety Training Program for drivers and public utility vehicles.

02:35According to LTFRB Chair Trofilo Guadis III, it is important to consult the transportation sector before implementing new regulations.

02:45However, it was stated in the Memorandum Circular that the agency should suspend the requirement for drivers and public utility vehicles in road safety training for the renewal of the franchise.
