00:00The Department of Justice was surprised and dismayed that the Timor-Leste Court did not favor the former Congressman Arnolfo Tevez Jr. to return to the Philippines.
00:12It was revealed that Assistant Secretary Mico Clabano, a spokesman for the Justice Department,
00:19The Timor-Leste Court, which was extradited to Tevez, was twice favored in the Philippines,
00:25which took place in June and December 2024.
00:28So now, they will ask for an explanation from the court as to what was the basis of the decision.
00:34The DOJ also called for the authorities to respect the process of the law in the country
00:40and the international cooperation to use justice.
00:45The DOJ assured that they will not stop until Tevez returns to the country
00:51and they will do everything legally to ensure that the victims of Tevez can use justice.
00:58It should be noted that Tevez was charged with murder, attempted murder, and frustrated murder
01:04because of the Pamplona massacre or the killing of the former Negros Oriental Governor Ruel Digamo
01:10and others in March 2023.
