00:00The issue of gunpowder was brought to life in Ninoy Aquino International Airport but it was immediately acted upon by the Transportation Department.

00:08The details in the national news of Vell Custodio of PCV Manila.

00:14The Department of Transportation has already attacked the three security personnel of the Office of Transportation Security in Naia Terminal 3,

00:21in accordance with a viral social media post in which the security personnel of the 66-year-old woman

00:28and her family were arrested for the physical inspection of gunpowder on March 6.

00:33They accused the woman who brought the gunpowder to the airport.

00:37The President's gift to all of us who are in the government is that we cannot be greedy,

00:45we need to provide services to our countrymen.

00:50We will not tolerate this sort of behavior against our citizens.

00:54So we are hereby announcing the termination of all the people in the OTS who were involved in this incident.

01:02Based on the first investigation of the DOTR, the senior citizen was cleared from the X-ray scanner

01:08and was allowed to board the airplane to go to Vietnam.

01:10They were even chased by security personnel for the physical inspection

01:14because they saw gunpowder flying in her luggage.

01:18No bullets were retrieved from the group of passengers and they were almost left behind due to the incident.

01:25Because of this, the issue of gunpowder in Naia was brought up again.

01:29The investigation continued and the suspects were faced with administrative charges.

01:34I am calling on our countrymen.

01:36If this happens to you, don't be afraid, don't be ashamed, report it immediately.

01:42Meanwhile, the Transportation Department did not overlook the incident of power outage in Naia

01:48past 7 a.m. yesterday, where there was 5 minutes of power outage in Naia Terminal 1,

01:54more than 20 minutes in Terminal 2, and 1 minute in Terminal 3.

01:58According to the DOTR, there should be no more than 1 minute of power outage because there is a generator.

02:05The New Naia Infrastructure Corporation is already working with the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines

02:11for a long-term solution so that the incident will not happen again.

02:15To connect directly to the National Grid because the requirement of the airport is very high.

02:22This is so that the power supply to the airport and directly to the grid will not pass through the distributor.

02:28The operators were also told by Manila International Airport Authority General Manager Eric Ines

02:33to fix the problem and comply with the Standard and Privatization Agreement for Operations.
