00:00Good morning. It is bright and early. Bunky and I are getting packed up, about to get

00:09in the truck because we are headed back to North Carolina to do something. It's very

00:15exciting. It's a little bit bittersweet, but very exciting. So anyway, we have got to get

00:20a move on, but I am so glad that I ordered my Thrive box a couple of days ago because

00:25we have not been to the grocery store. We have been back and forth so much. I know that

00:31y'all haven't really like seen that and I'm so excited to just like tell y'all everything

00:36and fill you in on life, but we have been driving back and forth. It's about a four,

00:41four and a half hour drive. Um, three or four times in the past, like I think 10 days, maybe

00:47two weeks. So we've been in the car a lot. We have not gone to the grocery store and,

00:52um, I would rather order from Thrive anyway, but we have no road trip snacks and that is

00:58what is important to me. I need some snacks while I'm in the truck. And I was so excited

01:03when my box was delivered yesterday. Okay, good. They're right here on top. We got these

01:07last time y'all remember and they have become my favorite chips. And my mom is obsessed

01:15with the other brand of these kind of chips. They're coming home today. I'm like, mom,

01:21can you wait? I'm bringing my new good crisp chips and you are going to like lose it over

01:28how amazing they are. So much better quality, so much better ingredients, so much better

01:31for you. So not only did I get the classic original this time, I also got their aged

01:37white cheddar. I cannot wait to try these. So both of these are coming with me in the

01:42truck today. Okay. We've got road trip snacks now. We got the snacks. Thank goodness. Thank

01:48goodness. Cause you know how we do on our travel days. We don't ever eat. We get hungry.

01:53Um, but I am going to get coffee before we leave really fast. Um, but we are 30 minutes

01:58behind schedule already. So we really got to go. You think it's just 30 minutes we're

02:02behind? You think it's an hour? I feel like we're like an hour behind, but, um, it's going

02:08to be okay. Of course I can, I can make up a little time on the road. You know what I

02:12mean? Oh my goodness. Just kidding. Just kidding everybody. But are you excited? Can you believe

02:15that today's like finally come? No, it's, um, I was actually just thinking a minute

02:21ago I was, I was a little bit, I was getting a little bit sad because I was just thinking

02:25how the, um, time that we're going to have because we are running so far behind. I was

02:31like, we might not get that, um, extra few minutes. You know what I mean? Yeah. Say goodbye.

02:37Say goodbye. Bittersweet. Yes, but very exciting. It's also a joy. Joyful yet, uh, not joyful.

02:46Yeah. But anyway, I'm making coffee though. We always have time for coffee.

02:50Are you ready to go girlfriend? Are you ready to go for another road trip? Say I'm the best

03:08road dog. That's right. She's always so good. She'll just like sit on my lap and sleep the

03:12whole time. And I kind of love it cause it's like our little cuddle time together. We have

03:17got so much to unpack and clean up, but all of this is just empty boxes. So once we get

03:24it all cleared out, it's going to feel a lot better in here.

03:27You know what I think is hilarious? What? We always bring a cooler everywhere because

03:38we gotta bring Daisy's food. Gotta keep that girl fed, you know? I don't know if y'all

03:43will be able to tell. I'll kind of zoom you in. We are riding through Conway right now

03:48and a lot of y'all have asked us about the wildfires that keep breaking out. It's very

03:53hazy and smoky through here, which in Murrells, it really hasn't been except for like one

03:59day. Yeah, it was on a Sunday. But I think that's because there was a wildfire that broke

04:04out in Pawleys Island. But I think they've been the worst up here in Conway and you can

04:11definitely tell it's like hazy, but I just don't know if y'all will be able to see it

04:14on camera. Yeah, we had like, I mean like air quality and all that down where we just

04:21were was like perfectly fine. And now just right up, here we are riding through some

04:26smoke, some smokiness. Yeah. Oh, I'm so excited. I forgot about ordering these. I love oatmeal.

04:34It's like one of my favorite breakfast things to have. And sometimes I'll have it like for

04:38dinner at nighttime. But I have been on the hunt for like a better, more organic, just

04:45better for you oatmeal. Um, that isn't like sprayed with chemicals and stuff like that.

06:52It's so empty in here. We've literally moved everything out besides... I think they're

06:56keeping this table. They're keeping all of that furniture. They're keeping this furniture.

07:03So besides that, everything is pretty much out of here. I'll show you all back here.

07:11Let's see. Bathroom is pretty much done. Actually, it's all the way done besides

07:23the toilet paper holder. I'm going to put you all on wide angle so you can see a little better.

07:27We're leaving the washer and dryer here. Bunky has to

07:33take down our bed and put the mattress on the back of the truck. Besides that,

07:39that's all that's left in our bedroom. Closets are empty. I will never get over how beautiful

07:46the towel is in our master bathroom. And I love the color of our floors in here.

07:53That is one thing I will very much miss. But that bathroom, I got to get my

08:01shampoo and conditioner. Other than that, it is also all cleaned out. Empty in this bedroom

08:09and just a few things left in that one. You ready to take this thing apart? Let's start the

08:17echo. I know because there's nothing in here. He brought his tools. Hopefully,

08:21we have what we need here to get this thing taken apart.

08:29So,

08:42as y'all can tell, we have sold our house in North Carolina. This actually kind of came out

08:47of the blue because you guys know last year we were super back and forth about this. And

08:53it's crazy how much this house taught us so many lessons and yet it never quite felt like home.

09:01But we needed it. It was definitely meant for us for a season. But we just always knew it wasn't

09:10exactly the right fit. And at the end of last year, we spent a lot of time here and that was

09:17amazing because we got to spend a lot of time with our family and be here for the holidays a lot more.

09:22And then Bunky kept getting all of these phone calls. And finally, one day he picked up because

09:27they were like relentless calls. And it was a realtor on the other end of the line and they

09:34kind of just like talked to us about listing our house again. And we were like, you know what? It's

09:39a new year. Let's just have like a clean slate, a fresh start. And so, we decided to list it and

09:45to our bewilderment, I would say, it sold within like four days. And we kind of know the people who

09:54are going to be buying this house and we could not be more excited for them. Like we know that

10:00it is going to such a good home. And so for that, we are so grateful. I feel like when we made the

10:06decision to buy this house, like we had kind of had it on our hearts and we had some good things

10:14going on, you know, last year, especially around the time that we were looking to buy this house

10:19because, you know, your sister was pregnant. Mama was still here and we were feeling like we wanted

10:26to spend more time, you know, with her. And we just kind of wanted to be back closer to our

10:31families and have the ability to come to and from and still have our own space. And like...

10:38This is making me cry.

10:39Well, so as it was probably, you know, like at the end of... So actually, going all the way back. So

10:48if y'all follow our Chasing Sunsets YouTube channel, you know, in 2023, we had been

10:54RVing from basically like May to September. And during that time, you know, we would be

11:01on the road for two weeks, back in Murrells Inlet for two weeks. We would come up here to be with

11:08around family for a week. So we were like two weeks here, two weeks there, a week here. I mean,

11:15maybe... Well, it was kind of wearing on us a little bit, you know, it was kind of tough. But

11:21we... When we would come back up here and maybe it was like the holiday season last year because,

11:26you know, we kind of... Our last trip on Chasing Sunsets was in the middle of November. So we

11:31had Thanksgiving and then it was like December and it was all the Christmas stuff. So we were

11:37kind of, I think, at that point, like it feels good to kind of just be back up, you know, up here.

11:43And then we started exploring the option of, you know, buying a house up here. And I feel like our

11:50intentions were very good in doing so. And we actually, like Bunky said, it really... It's...

11:58For the time that we had it, I feel like it really did serve its purpose. But y'all know me

12:03pretty well, obviously. And I just... I don't think that I'm the kind of person that likes...

12:10I don't want to say that I don't like having two properties. But like it was just really like...

12:15I'm not good at like thinking... I'm a worrier, basically. Yeah, well he's a worrier. Like I was

12:22always just kind of worried. Like, you know, is everything going to be all right up there?

12:26We kind of knew we didn't want to take care of two properties. Yeah, I mean, it just... It was...

12:30It was just worrying me too much. I mean, y'all can probably look back at a video from a year ago.

12:35My hair color then versus my hair color now. There have been so many, I feel like, good things that

12:41came out of, you know, like just the thought and ambition of like being like, oh, I can have a

12:47garden. And like we can do all this stuff to the yard. And like all of that to say, at some point

12:52last year, as some of y'all probably already know too, we had listed the house. And then we...

13:00Pulled it off the market because it just wasn't moving. And then Hurricane Helene happened.

13:06And then Mama passed away. So luckily, or you know, it was maybe in God's plan that we still

13:14had it at that point. And basically from like October, November, and December, we were,

13:23you know, up here quite a bit. And it was good to have during all that time. It like January 1st

13:30came around and just like boom. I mean, I was getting like four or five calls from just different

13:36realtors every single day. I don't know. They weren't calling you. They were just calling you

13:40for some reason. But finally, I just like picked up the phone and one of them called. And then I

13:45decided, I was like, well, I'm just gonna talk to this person. I'm gonna hear them out, see what

13:50they say, you know. And you know, luckily for us, they are very professional and did a very good job.

14:00And we listed the home. And then just, you know, next thing you know, like listed it on Wednesday

14:06and I think it was Saturday. Yeah. So like this time around... If y'all are local, I will leave who

14:13we used in the description box. Yeah. Because I mean, they did a great job. Definitely would recommend.

14:19I think whenever we purchased Merle's Inlet, that was like... I don't know that we ever intentionally

14:26thought this is going to be our forever home. And I'm not saying that it is our forever home.

14:30But I think to us, we kind of thought, oh, this will be fun to live at the beach for a couple of

14:34years while we can. And then eventually we'll move back to North Carolina. And I don't know that that

14:40is not the case. But I do know that the longer that we've lived in Merle's Inlet and built this

14:45life there and just lived next to, you know, the ocean, it has just become more and more home to us.

14:52And we love it so much that last year, even whenever we bought this house, you know, our

14:58intention really wasn't to have two homes, but we could not let go of Merle's Inlet. Like there was

15:04just... our hearts were like clinging to it. Mainly mine, too. Yeah. I mean, mine was hard. It was

15:11bunky. He was like, we cannot let go of it. And the more I like really thought about it, I didn't

15:16want to let go of it either. And so, you know, it all just kind of worked out the way that it should.

15:22I know I've shared... I'm going to try and get through this. Y'all are going to bear with me, okay?

15:26I know I shared that our family has been going through like a really tough situation.

15:32Y'all are going to have to bear with me. Take a moment. And

15:36um, when we purchased this house, we were so excited to be here for the birth of our niece,

15:44like Don-T said, and to spend more time with Momo and just be around our family.

15:49And one of those people was our curly girl, who my sister's been fostering. And she,

15:56that girl, she has my whole entire heart. Like when I say that I adore her,

16:01the love that I have for her, I have never felt in my entire life. And um, the situation that

16:07our family has been going through with her is really hard. And um, she's not with us anymore.

16:13And so for me, if we had this house for one year, so that I could have sleepovers with her,

16:19and she could spend more time with us, and I got to like have all of those memories with her,

16:25then having this house for the past year was beyond worth it. Um, and it was kind of stressful

16:32having two homes. And as you guys know, we didn't like RV at all last year because we just didn't

16:37feel like we had an opportunity to, because we were trying to take care of both places. And um,

16:43that's going to change this year. And we're really excited about it. But um,

16:48everything about this house, it was hard. It was joyful. It was a place of refuge. It was

16:55so many things for us, but we learned so many lessons here and it was so needed. And um,

17:03yeah, it's bittersweet because we're really happy to just have one house again. We're so happy to

17:08just be in Merle's full time. We're happy to get back to like traveling. Um, so it's all really,

17:16really good things, but we are very grateful for this house and just what it like afforded us

17:24this past year. Another thing too is y'all know that we had our fifth wheel, um, which we actually

17:30sold it in August. Um, and Sunny's purpose was because, you know, there were no slide outs,

17:37easy for us to get around, travel further distances and faster. Um, so we had Sunny for,

17:44uh, from December of 2023. And then we actually also sold Sunny, um, at the end of September last

17:53year. It's just sitting right over there. Our neighbor has it right across the street. Um,

17:57and actually Sunny, um, is also, you know, there was, there was a purpose behind it going to

18:03the folks next door. Um, they had a good reason to pursue that with us. And, um, so I'm happy

18:09that they had it. Um, so at this very moment, um, well, maybe not by the time you see this,

18:17actually, but, uh, at this very moment, we're actually RV-less and we have been for several

18:23months now and we are planning to change that. Um, it's been good that we've been RV-less cause

18:29we've been able to really go look at them and figure out exactly what we want. Yeah. And we

18:35know we've given it a great deal of thought once again, because we've had a travel trailer,

18:41then we had a fifth wheel, then we had an Airstream. So we've kind of done our, um,

18:46anybody who RV knows, um, that you can buy your first RV and you think that it's going to be the

18:54perfect RV and ours by gosh was very, very close. Our, our bunkhouse was, you know, we call it the

19:02bunkhouse. It wasn't a bunkhouse, but it was our bunkhouse. It was the best. Yeah. Like we

19:06really did love that travel trailer. Um, but we've gone through, you know, several iterations

19:12in the RV world at this point. And, um, I think we have really landed on exactly what we want

19:22and what we want to have to continue those travel and adventures. So there's a lot of

19:27exciting things happening in the bunky world coming up soon. Yeah. And, um, also, you know,

19:33we can't say enough, like how much, I mean, thank goodness y'all have put up with us for the past,

19:40for the past year, you know, we've, we've been doing our best and we've been, um, I mean,

19:44there's so many more times we probably could have like picked up the camera and been filming

19:48something, but you know, we've just had, uh, it's been a rollercoaster for the past, you know,

19:55almost 15 months, really. It's been like 15 months. Um, but we're looking forward to getting,

20:03um, settled back down a little bit. We're truly looking forward to actually getting back to work

20:09and like sharing fun stuff with y'all because that's what it's all about. Like, that's why

20:14we do what we do. That's what we love doing. I mean, it's, it's really like, it's so amazing how

20:21all of you can appreciate and love us so much. Um, and it's just like, you know, I sit there

20:27sometimes and I look back at myself and I'm like, I don't know why like these people like me so

20:32much, you know, cause I don't. Cause you're the best Bunky. Well, thank you. Um, thanks to all

20:38of you as well for always hanging out with us, like I said. So, um, I'm gonna let Bunky actually

20:44do the official wrap up here because that's obviously, as y'all know, one of her strong suits.

20:50As we stand here in the kitchen, I'll see the electric stove behind you and I'm just like,

20:56you're not going to miss it. Oh, I'm not going to miss it. I mean, that was a pretty good,

21:00you know, it was, it was good for us to learn how to cook. We've never had an electric cooktop.

21:05But I figured if we're going to wrap up this video, the best place that we can wrap it up

21:09is in our kitchen because that is the heart of our home and that's where you guys hang out with

21:14us all the time. So we will end this video here, but like Bunky said, we are so grateful for y'all

21:22just like sticking with us this past year because we have felt like it's been crazy and there have

21:27been so many times that it's hard for us to get a video up just because of everything that has

21:33happened. Um, I do want to touch on one more thing as far as our curly girl. I know that y'all

21:39probably have a lot of questions and I wish that I could tell more of her story and maybe one day I

21:44can share that. But for right now, um, her privacy and protection is just my number one priority. And

21:51as a family, we are doing everything that we can to fight for her, to pray protection over her,

21:58and to just always advocate for her. That is our biggest thing and we will never stop doing that.

22:04So I just wanted to say that and thank you everyone that has been praying for us. It truly

22:09has meant so much to us and we feel your prayers and we are just so grateful. So

22:15that is our big life update. I feel like more life updates to come as far as travel goes and

22:22I'm so excited. I hope y'all are excited and we are just so grateful to kind of like get back to

22:28basics. We like rewinded everything and came back to ground zero so that we can like start fresh

22:34again. It's just the end of the chapter but not the end of the book. It's a very, um, that's a

22:40really good way to say it. And I feel like it's the start of a really good chapter that I am super

22:46excited to turn the page and like have the most amazing adventure. And I'm so excited for y'all

22:52to come along with us and we love you so much. And thank you for listening to us ramble and ramble.

23:18the spot but it sounds like you know what you're doing. Okay. The appetizer that we did was like

23:23the pasta salad with the prosciutto. Oh my gosh, you're right. It was, it was literally so amazing.

23:28I still to this day I'm not over that recipe. Yeah, I feel like everything we cooked in that

23:32one was actually like so spectacular. Yeah. What about yours? Um, I asked you an unfair question

23:40because I don't actually know. Okay, and then I will tell you a couple things I'm going to miss

23:44about this house. I love this kitchen. Like I, I don't know. It's so open and airy. The ceilings

23:49are tall. Like I just, I love this house. It is beautiful and I'm so excited for people that are

23:53moving in. It's actually their first home. So I mean it couldn't be more perfect for them,

23:58but I love our deck and I love like sitting out there and having coffee and I can hear all the

24:02birds chirping and it's beautiful. I just love it out there. So I will miss that. You know what's

24:07funny? What? When we were looking at this house, I could not stand this flooring. And now you're

24:13obsessed. And now I love it. Now I realize what y'all were talking about. Literally every person

24:18that has walked into this house, the first thing they say is, oh my gosh, I love your floors. And

24:23I was like, this flooring, I don't know. It's the best. It's so pretty. Yeah, it's good stuff.

24:28But he's been saying that he wants to put this flooring and pearls in it. I'm like, yeah,

24:31maybe someday.
