Lunar lander takes stunning shots of moon's surface

Video released on Feb. 24, 2025 shows stunning close-ups of the moon’s surface captured by Firefly Aerospace’s Blue Ghost spacecraft. Firefly Aerospace’s Blue Ghost is one of two lunar landers for deliveries of NASA science and technology to different locations on the moon. The deliveries are part of NASA’s CLPS (Commercial Lunar Payload Services) initiative, a cost-effective and efficient way to deliver NASA hardware to the moon by working with American companies. Austin, Texas based Firefly Aerospace’s Blue Ghost Mission 1 launched Jan. 15 this year, is set to descend to its final destination, Mare Crisium, located in the northeast region of the Moon on March 2.
