4 stolen panels from historic Church pulpit in Cebu to be returned in March

Cebu Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia confirms on Feb. 27, 2025 that four stolen pulpit panels from the Archdiocesan Shrine of Patrocinio de Maria Santisima in Boljoon will be returned in March but a sixth remains missing. She urged its 'owner' to surrender it, emphasizing its sacred status and the importance of completing the historic pulpit. The four recovered panels will be turned over to the Archdiocesan Museum in a formal ceremony attended by Cebu Archbishop Jose Palma and National Museum of the Philippines Director General Jeremy Barns.
