00:00Hi everyone I'm Kay Walsh and I'm Jenny Smith and we are the authors of Menopause Mix. We
00:13are here today in our studio in Ilkley in West Yorkshire. Yeah and we've been beavering away
00:18writing this book for the past few years but we met tap dancing many years ago and then we've
00:24been sewing ever since haven't we really? Yeah we've been teaching, we used to have an in-person
00:28studio we do a lot of our stuff online now but the reason we've written this book Jenny? Well
00:33I think because we know ourselves this is a very personal journey I'm 48 and you're 53 so we've
00:39been living the reality of perimenopause and menopause that we've taught a lot of women and
00:44we know that if we can get people sewing they can find their community at this stage in life
00:48it can just have a massively positive impact on their lives and the projects in the book are all
00:54geared to symptoms so alleviating getting too hot a nice wafty jacket all the way up from an eye
01:00mask so if you can't sleep insomnia is definitely a problem for a lot of people in menopause all
01:05the way through to a beautiful quill and we teach you every step of the way we'll guide you for all
01:11of the projects. Yeah so the more people we can get sewing in Yorkshire but beyond as well then
01:17the happier we will be so we hope you take a look.
