00:10Second Finance Minister Amir Hamza Azizan said EPF contributors can expect better dividend
00:17distribution for 2024 compared with 2023, Bernama reported.
00:22He highlighted EPF's 57.5 billion ringgit investment income as of the third quarter
00:28of last year, noting that it was an improvement over the same period in 2023.
00:35Amir said he could not review the dividend rate yet, but assured that it would be better
00:40and encouraging.
00:41EPF is expected to announce the 2024 dividend rate in early March.
00:47Financial economists and academics had previously predicted EPF's 2024 dividend to exceed 6%.
00:55EPF declared a higher dividend of 5.50% for 2023 compared with 5.35% in 2022 for conventional
01:05savings.
