00:00Next year's midterm polls will debut a new set of voting hardware, which calls for a new nationwide demo by the poll body to educate and enlighten the electorate on the new features and functions of the new automated counting machines and peripherals.

00:16The poll body's automated counting machines countrywide roadshow kicked off Monday last week.

00:23Philippine information agencies and Buanga del Sur's Harvey Bangayan fills us in with the rest.

00:32The Commission on Election Spaghetti and City joined the nationwide automated counting machine roadshow in Barangay Santa Maria.

00:39This initiative showcases live ACM demonstrations and voter education to make voting faster, easier, and more accessible while emphasizing the importance of voting rights and responsibilities.

00:50The nationwide roadshow began on December 2 and will run until the end of January 2025.

00:55Comelec highlighted the enhanced features of the new ACMs, including a 14-inch screen, the capability to scan election receipts, and an automated summary of results.

01:06These machines are also equipped with lithium batteries that can last up to three days on a full charge.

01:11Participants in Barangay Santa Maria expressed gratitude for the demos and voter education sessions.

01:20Not only our people here, but also the barangay officials so that we can preserve our history,

01:25as well as the people who voted in 2025.

01:30Barangay Captain Fernando Pasa encouraged residents to study the educational materials provided by Comelec.

01:36We saw the handouts that were distributed by Comelec.

01:39This is what we read so that during the 2025 election, at least we can know where to use this new machine for the 2025 election.
