00:00Supported by the Office of the Presidential Advisor on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity,
00:05OPAPRU is the body that will lead the first parliamentary elections in the Moro Autonomous Region and Muslim Mindanao.
00:13Under the signed Republic Act No. 12123, the BARMM elections were held on October 13, 2025,
00:22following its original schedule of May 12.
00:25According to OPAPRU Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr.,
00:28this step is a proof of the determination of the Administration of Marcos Jr.
00:33to implement agreements on peace and unity,
00:37the long-term prosperity of the region.
00:39One of the important provisions of the new law
00:42is the continued disbursement of Sulu Share in the Region's Block Grant Earmark for 2025.
00:50It should be noted that in September 2024,
00:53the Supreme Court decided to remove Sulu from the BARMM
00:57based on the results of the plebiscite in 2019,
